seems to be happening Copa America in 2020 hosted by Argentina/Colombia. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...-held-in-argentina-and-colombia-idUSKCN1QV02M and with this Copa 2019 is the last one that's in odd years and CONMEBOL have been saying for ages that they want to align Copa and Euro in same years going forward. So 2020, 2024, 2028 etc.
what I'm curious is whether Messi will ever win something with Argentina. He'll be 35 years old in 2022, that's pretty much his last possible WC chance if he continues until 2022. and 2 Copas in 2 years including 1 where Argentina are hosts, that will likely add pressure to win, whether they win in 2019 or not. If they win in 2019, defending champs at home and if they don't than pressure to win at home either way. Ronaldo currently 34 years old on the other hand will 37 and very very near 38 by the next WC. There is no indication he's stopping for Portugal. still think Football will become more interesting once these 2 are done with playing high level and NT. A chance for a new wave of players.

Only 8 players (including Messi, Aguero, Mbappe and Sane) in Europe's top five leagues have scored more in all competitions than Raul Jimenez's 9 goals in 2019.Jimenez has scored more than Ronaldo (8), Aubameyang, Lewandowsk and Griezmann (7) #wwfc— Tim Spiers (@TimSpiers) March 17, 2019
Have to say I'm keeping my eye on Kosovo, besides them having plenty of German-Kosovo players and their being plenty of interesting German-Kosovo players in the youth levels in Germany which if they go to Kosovo would definitely help them more. just seems like a lot of interesting players are coming from such a tiny place. With expanded WCs and Euros, wonder how many years before they manage a shock qualification? Kosovo could be my Swiss 2.0 in terms of interest.
Wonder if Zhegrova and the brat Avdijaj will be able to make it to the top level as well. Seems like Zhegrova is taking some time to settle in at Basel but he's still pretty young. Next couple seasons could be when he breaks through. Just going through their NT profile, Lirim Kastrati looks like another promising winger prospect from Kosovo too https://www.transfermarkt.com/lirim-kastrati/profil/spieler/531218
Avdijaj is more about his attitude he needs to fix that. Not sure why we got 2 ex German Internationals like Avdijaj and Dadashov that seem to be head cases especially Dadashov? Zhegrova seems to be promising but for now not really productive. I think lots of players who are dribblers seem to have this issue. When it comes to dribbling it's all about knowing your surrounding and split seconds decisions and when to stop and pass or shoot. A lot of these dribblers either are terrible shots (Younes), overdribble, or don't really notice where their teammates are. even our own Kuhn falls guilty to this. It's why if they can improve those aspects they would be very deadly but otherwise not as much. Good technique and speed is just a part of the equation you still need the decision making and timing and good shot.
Adam Hlozek sets a Czech league record for being the youngest goal scorer at age 16 https://www.transfermarkt.de/tschec...ordhalter-7-monate-alter/view/news/331518?rss
and Kosovo tied Denmark 2-2 in a friendly. Kosovo scored 1st and even had the 2-1 lead. Denmark needed a PK and a 90+ (injury time) goal just to tie the game.
Austria lost 0-1 to Poland, with Piatek scoring the decisive goal Switzerland won 2-0 vs Georgia, with a pair of BL players Zuber and Zakaria scoring for the Swiss
Another BL player in Euro qualifiers, Mainz's Robin Quaison scores the opening goal for Sweden vs Romania
feels like we will suffer for this too. Countries do get better when their players play at higher level. So when players from all over Europe play in 1BL we are actually helping them get better too. reminds me of concacaf where central America and Caribbeans are getting better and better because they are playing in Liga MX and MLS. and sometimes wonder why other countries seem able to use properly their attack compared to us. How many countries have made good use out of average strikers. Made them serviceable while we can't seem to do that at all. In fact it feels like Germany and countries parking the bus on us, does force Germany to develop a world class striker.
Looks like Sweden and RB Leipzig star Emil Forsberg has decided to leave the national team camp after being subbed off in the 60th minute vs Romania.Real unprofessionalism at play here. https://t.co/91weXbX1Zf— Carl-Oscar (@COKllstrm) March 23, 2019
Switzerland gave up a 3 goal lead and finish leveled at 3-3 vs Denmark. All 3 Danish goals were scored after the 80th min. Robin Quaison scores again as Sweden finished 3-3 vs Norway in another high scoring match
