No just one of those seasons when everything clicked and both celtic and rangers made poor managerial choices for periods in the season. They also found a great Portugese player playing in the Norway 2nd division who looks like he could easily play much higher. Celtic are now favs again though after beating Rangers today.
PSG were more formidable with Dolla in net. It will be a boring ass final. If it goes to pens, they will miss him, bigly.
Time to check in on U17 AFCON. Player of the Match... the fact that this is from their very only C account makes it even more absurd. A complete performance from Gelson Dala earns him the TotalEnergies Man of the Match award. 👏🇦🇴@Football2Gether | #TotalEnergiesAFCONU17 pic.twitter.com/1CyhYslWwF— CAF (@CAF_Online) May 14, 2026
Qualified for Europe first time in 50 years and he was very much at the centre of it. Not so much on this forum but around the Internet there was some crap spoken about him from roma fans who judged him on 6 months of management's mess. One of the best players in England. Gasperini missed out on that technical class in midfield. 25 million, that last sporting director had an eye for a good player if it's him that alerted the club to Le Fee and Kone.
I remember Le Fee when he was still in France. Hustled. Good at everything without being special at anything. Exactly the kind of footballer who gets overlooked, but turns out to be a great cog to any team that makes proper use of him.
From everything I see of him his football IQ and technique is special. Players that can effortlessly blend into multiple positions are sometimes overlooked because you dont really know their best position but he seems best as a 10 and followed by 8. Its hard to understand how they got his transfer so badly wrong inside 6 months.
Very boring match unfortunately. The CL's veneer of stardom and magical moments is either gone, or I'm just older and more cynical now, but the atmosphere felt mundane and the football was nothing special., I never thought I'd miss those primadonas Ronaldo and Messi whom I loathe with all my heart, but football is missing that larger than life feel arrogant and talented bastards like that brought to the game. Watched a bit of Pep's interview regarding his Man City departure - definitely a rat being ran out of town trying to save face. I guess now that I don't have Ronaldo and Messi to hate, there's always Pep's ugly mug to transfer those feelings to.
Early kick off also felt off but its never really had the same buzz since moving away from Wednesday night games.
RIP Marios On behalf of the European football community, we are deeply saddened by the passing of former Greece international Marios Oikonomou at the age of 33.Oikonomou earned six caps for Greece and enjoyed a distinguished career in Italy with clubs including Bologna, Cagliari, Bari,… pic.twitter.com/oHIvAmVfCd— UEFA (@UEFA) June 1, 2026
I remember him at Bologna, he had a few good years there. Poor guy taken out by some old moron performing an illegal u turn in his hometown.
Very disappointed for him. He must be gutted. Guy has been busting a gut with little break for a long time now. From a purely Roma centric pov....I just hope it's nothing too serious....he probably does need to put the feet up for awhile and hopefully come back stronger than ever.
Wow... just heard from the local commentator that they have a mandatory 3-minutes break in the mid of each half. Seems like not having enough commercial breaks is going to be a sin football will be cured from.
June 14th and Real Madrid have already signed 4 new players. Bernardo Silva Denzel Dumfries Ibrahima Konate Marc Cucurella
