I wonder if the Military Bowl lines will still be on the field in August.

Looks like MLS will have to endure another season of Beckham.

When I was at the Military Bowl I wondered the same thing.

    Just wondering...

Did LA tender a contract offer to Beckham, or are DP's exempt from the whole re-entry draft process?

    Thx,

    Jay!

You know, one year in the past I thought I read they were going to replace the pitch. After said replacement date, there were still lines on the pitch.

Amazing how Seattle, New England and the old Meadowlands could get the lines off the grass or turf or whatever (especially in NJ when the game was played on Saturday and sometimes there'd be no trace of MLS on Sunday).

    Thx,

    Jay!

I remember a few crazies wearing sandwich-boards saying the same thing when the re-entry draft happened. Of course, Beckham and LA have different rules than everyone else, but someone really should have claimed him just to extract a 3rd round supplemental draft pick from LA.

I always preferred Clemson to the Cocks, but probably because more kids from my high school went to Clemson than USC, especially a few of my soccer teammates. Their soccer fans are very fun to watch as well, as college soccer fans go.
Plus, what's not to love about playing football in a place called Death Valley :)

On Goltv now is Neza FC v Altamira FC (replays sat at 3am & 6pm). Of note is a starting forward for Neza by the name of Luciano Emilio.

How is it that USL Pro teams travel to Antigua and Puerto Rico for away games, and we can't manage a couple trips to Denver and Salt Lake?

Paging MLS HQ on the white pull your head out of your ass phone...

Really, if you're MLS, shouldn't you send those games to stadia where the tenant/team can actually make money off them?

I'm so tired of Real Madrid and their dirty and thuggish play. So much talent and they choose to stomp on, scissor tackle players, etc., Knock it off. Same goes for Alves and Busquetes but at least their bitchy tactics are faking injuries not hurting (generally) other players.

I'm with you on this one. Pepe is a p*ssy. Either Messi was hurt or the royalist did one hell of job marking him out of the game. And Iniesta, too many misses... Nice win in the end. Goals from Puyol and Abidal.

    until stoppage time.
I hate saying it was deserved, but that did feel good after everything that went on during stoppage.

I've never seen so many blatant fouls in the box on corner kicks go uncalled. That was driving me crazy.

Anyone else laugh their ass off at Ronaldo's cry-baby face after Pedro's goal?

Why is everyone so obsessed with these games. The last 7 of these have been nothing but full of cheating, crying and foul play. Someone is rolling on the ground every 5 seconds its not even very fun to watch.

I agree the fouls and theatrics are beginning to overshadow (or already have) the actual play on the field but there is still beautiful play going on, lots of scoring related drama, and Ray Hudson.

I thought this was about the best classico I've seen in the last few years (from a competitive standpoint, my fave was the 5-0).

It's a shame that all Madrid will talk about now is the ref, when they should have been playing with ten for the last 47 minutes.

Haha, I can respect Barcelona, and I can respect there football and success. But I cannot respect when fans of the club, and neutrals turn a blind eye to there antics and attack Madrid.

I know what you mean. Pepe is the most vicitimized, misunderstood player on the Earth. And Tito Villanova? His eyeball was just asking for it.
