Many, many years of documentated and statistically woeful behavior by Italian and English fans didn't lead to statements somehow. Remember: for many, many years the foreign authorities were generally happy with the Dutch fans, not least Austria itself (but also Belgium, Germany, France...). In 2021, the first post-corona edition, the Austrian authorities praised the Dutch fans (the borders for other countries remained closed). No, but the general atmosphere (as well as the aggression they have themselves received for years) does have an effect on this. It has been eight years since the first signs of the 'orange armada' and only now those reports/incidents surface (with 'suddenly' a statement by the organizers). That is what years of socialisation - and on the receiving end of aggression - does. Hence the cheering of crashes - returning the favour. Wasn't the case before.
