Tied for the Wild Card or How the Phillies Will Blow It 2006
Wow what a weekend. Except for the Trampled Owls.
phils lose ... no surprise there. why do i let myself get excited?
flyers get trounced 6-1 ... sad to admit i attended that game last night. although hatcher's jackhammer impersonation on bradley's head was entertaining.
TO attempts suicide?
A Phillies Phold? Say it aint true...
I think its time to take down Liberty Place and return to the pre 1987 skyline.
C'mon. They've still got 5 games to tease us.
And post's like that will get you on the DHS bad boy list.
I didn't say lalalalalalala in a high shrill voice afterwards...so I'm cool
You know......would have been a different game if they ruled that a homerun.
Was Kevin Stott the umpire? Maybe he just stayed in DC to extend his suckitude from the DC/Metrotards game.
did you honestly not see this coming?
Of course I did...I just thought they'd be up 2 games this Friday, then lose all 3 to the Marlins.
All from Jeff Conine errors?
if this team has taught us anything it's that they pick the perfect times to lose.
In my favorite stadium, the Phils finally win - 12:03 in the morning. I think it was on a late corner kick.
Everyone is talking about how it was such a great win and such last night. I see it otherwise. In the end it was an important win, a vital win, but it wasn't a great game as far as how it went for the Phillies. The Phils basically tried almost every avenue to lose the game and somehow still won. Throwing errors, leaving runners stranded, bullpen blowing leads over and over again, walking in tying runs, and even the umpires getting calls wrong against the Phils which ended up in runs for the other team. I'm hoping for a much better effort tonight. Oh, call me critical.
i think if last night proved anything, its that our bullpen is too weak to win anything.
bases loaded, 2 outs, and the phils leave all 3 stranded ... rinse and repeat.
when they walked in the tying run in the bottom of the ninth, i turned the TV off and went to bed. and i find out this morning, much to my surprise, that they actually won the game. i think they actually have to work harder to lose, than the effort they put in recently.
I don't expect them to win much. I just want Joe F'ing Carter (or Mitch F'ing Williams) to no longer be the most recent event in Phillies Post-Season History.
********** the Dodgers!!
at least our collapse isnt as bad as the cardinals.
Almost hockey season.......
At least these girls make choking look good (thanks google image search)
I like the fact that the ESPN picture of the Cards slipping is of little boy Rolen.
Now, where were some of those runs from the night before tonight?
