In my favorite stadium, the Phils finally win - 12:03 in the morning. I think it was on a late corner kick.
Everyone is talking about how it was such a great win and such last night. I see it otherwise. In the end it was an important win, a vital win, but it wasn't a great game as far as how it went for the Phillies. The Phils basically tried almost every avenue to lose the game and somehow still won. Throwing errors, leaving runners stranded, bullpen blowing leads over and over again, walking in tying runs, and even the umpires getting calls wrong against the Phils which ended up in runs for the other team. I'm hoping for a much better effort tonight. Oh, call me critical.
bases loaded, 2 outs, and the phils leave all 3 stranded ... rinse and repeat. when they walked in the tying run in the bottom of the ninth, i turned the TV off and went to bed. and i find out this morning, much to my surprise, that they actually won the game. i think they actually have to work harder to lose, than the effort they put in recently.
I don't expect them to win much. I just want Joe F'ing Carter (or Mitch F'ing Williams) to no longer be the most recent event in Phillies Post-Season History.
