I can't believe that McNabb didn't know that games could end in ties. My 8 year old knows that. I wonder who he will blame for that. His dad for not loving him?
I told my crew that after both the Eagles and Steelers games, no one better complain soccer is boring.
Woo-hoo. The 2009 Phillies season is off to an exceptional start. Chase Utley is out until June. By that time, the Phils will be 45 games back of the Mets and 20 back of the Nationals.
The Nationals who will have signed Pat Burrell, who is hitting .320 with 33 homers and 120 RBIs by the all-star break.
Remarkably, Charlie Manuel started Pedro Feliz on opening day, despite the steel halo screwed into his neck & skull after off-season surgery. Feliz went 0-4.
Pat Burrell, you're 2009 Triple Crown Winner* *Provided he doesn't resign with the Phillies. If he does, he'll bat south of the Mendoza line, and his over/under for RBI's will be his uniform number.
"For the past two years they've been choke artists." -- Cole Hamels Talking about the METS!!! Here we go again!
bye bye, burrell ... hola, raul. http://philadelphia.phillies.mlb.co...t_id=3715027&vkey=news_phi&fext=.jsp&c_id=phi
Ibanez will be fun in Philly. The best story I have heard about him yet: When he first got to Seattle, his agent set-up an interview with a local reporter who had never met Ibanez. Ibanez is sitting in a chair next to his agent as the camera crew is setting up, and the reporter says to his agent, "How is his English? Will we need to subtitle this interview?" Ibanez looks at the reporter and says "His English is great, he's from Miami."
Do you think Tampa Bay will end up retiring Pat the Bat's number after he makes it to the hall of fame with their cap?
He has always hit left handed pitch very well, so this was a decent pick up. And I'm never going to complain about the line up we have its been consistently great year in and year out for a while now.
