Well there have been some grumblings about the USWNT not prepping adequately for their WWC run. They play Brasil next month in the Big Sleazy and there will probably be a game in Spartan against Mexico after the WUSA season is over. I think they *might* be playing one more date in Home Depot before the WWC kicks off. So I wanna know what the other teams are doing in terms of preparation. Who are they playing in the next couple of months?
canada has a few games this summer... they take on brasil in a two game series july 17 and 20th (in montreal and ottawa) and then take on mexico in late august in vancouver and edmonton. we just wrapped up a two-game series w/mexico IN mexico, and we beat them 4-0 and 2-1... i think it's possible we might have a few more games in september as "final leadup" to the WWC..esp since the event is being held in the states, and i think a few teams might be stopping by... elaine
France has euro 2005 match in Paris on 9/8 against Iceland... also Germany has euro 2005 match in august... these euro 2005 matches upcoming, real serious events should be good preparation... I'm sure Norway has some euro 2005 too... Too busy right now to go to all the euro websites to check out the exact dates.
Germany has two Euro matches against the Czech Republic and the Ukraine and two friendlies against Nigeria and England Sweden has one qualifier against Finland in August and a friendly against Denmark in September. The African Olympic Qualifer, which is the second leg, was cancelled because Uganda withdrew from qualification. And they didn't play the first leg either.
