Agreed, he shouldnt be playing....at the very least he shouldnt be playing a major role. At the most a super sub like lukaku and play 20min at the end of the game when the opp team is tired

 

Ironically as a super sub he could have been very good and a serious weapon as when games are stretched in extra time he can still poach a goal and finish a penalty. If he could see himself this way he might have even won a second trophy between 24/26. Still not ideal to use such an old player that has been out of the top leagues for so long but you could see the rational as he can still finish when alone one vs one as we saw vs Uzbeks.

2022 England lost the QF to France in a match they were the better team for about an hour. Kane missed his PK then Giroud scores late.

2 EC's sandwiched in between that and they were beaten Finalists. But in these 2 matches, unlike the 2022 QF they were second best.

Yeah. I have a good memory on these things. I even remember their 2018 elimination to Croatia. Scored very early and spent the rest of the match trying to defend it instead of playing normal. Croatia equalize and England could never ramp it up again. This Loss was deserved as Croatia were superior. Still remember watching it at work and all of us took a 2 Hour lunch.
