LAFC have looked subpar for a while now, so it’s not a huge shock. It’s interesting that there have been so many upsets so far. I wonder if those deep runs in CONCACAF, leagues, and open cups have hurt teams here.
I really think that's a factor. And we'll be playing some of those tournaments next year - wonder how we'll handle it. Probably about as well as some of these teams.
Yeah, we are now gonna be in all the tourneys next year, since finishing in the top 8 means our first team plays in the US Open Cup**, as well as the CCL. **unless they change the rules about that, again.
Vancouver sacked their coach today. He seemed one of the more interesting coaches in the league and seemed to do pretty good on a budget roster.
LAFC is cleaning house a bit in its roster moves https://www.lafc.com/news/lafc-announces-roster-moves-for-2025-season Declined options on Vela and Kamara and Long, Murrillo, and Ille Sanchez are out of contract, although they are in talks to re-sign Long and Murrillo.
I’m rooting for you Galaxy people. I’m a Redbull fan!!! 1-I despise Seattle fans 2- if you beat us, please shove it up LAFC fans asses. I also despise them. 3- Original 96 team that helped build the league like us unlike those other two I mentioned. 4- Most importantly, we can wear our RED kits if we play you!!!!
I heard a pundit say RB has the best (or maybe it was 3rd best?) expected goal differential in the league. That means either a) they are better than their record but unlucky or b) they can’t shoot worth a damn!
When one team develops through its Academy and the other wants to still use the college draft 1866211349338194389 is not a valid tweet id
I could see that the trade is rational if they don't see anybody in their Academy and MLSNext team being able to make it to the first team for that time period. Not withstanding that, I agree with your analysis about Colorado not attempting to develop talent through their Academy. It seems pretty minimal with only u15, u16 and u18 teams. Interesting enough they used to have a u14 team in 2023 but didn't create a new one for 2024 or 2025. Perhaps they don't think that they have the talent base to reliably develop first team players and are doing the minimum to fulfill MLS requirements.
