That is correct, though there is the local group Silicon Valley Sports and Entertainment which operates and provides administrative support for the team. Anschutz "owns" and controls 6 teams in the league. Lamar Hunt runs 2 and the Kraft Family 1. The league is in control of one, though Hunt has supposedly been trying to get that team. Phil Anschutz's AEG has a stake in the following teams: 1. San Jose, in a joint effort with Silicon Valley Sports and Entertainment which assumes local administration. Anschutz provides the cash to the Earthquakes. 2. Los Angeles 3. Colorado 4. Chicago 5. DC United 6. Metrostars Lamar Hunt fully owns and controls: 7. Kansas City 8.
