I am a big fan of Turkey and am trying to decide at what venue I should watch the match. I have two choices: Summer's and Fado. I have not been to either one of these places, so I was wondering which you all thought would have the best (preferably pro-Turkey) atmosphere? Thanks.

Summers atmosphere will likely be pro-English...I know this because I know a strong English contigency of summers regulars heading out there for the game.

The Capitol Lounge doesn't show EPL or International matches anymore unless they are on ESPN, ESPN2, or Comcast Sportsnet.

Summers is having a 35 dollars cover charge, out of which 10 bucks will be credited towards food and drinks.

And that is why I'm staying at home. $20.00 at the old Rock when they had more than one game on at a time was ok. $25 breaks the deal for me. It's probably on DirecTV PPV, but I won't be getting that either. Maybe for the next round of WCQ's...

    Thx,

    Jay!

Only available on Setanta. Setanta is setting the base price of 25 dollars - that's why Summer's is "crediting" you 10 bucks for food off your cover. Summer's will have more matches for the 35 dollars, while Lucky Bar will also have the Italy match available.

Politiki on Pennsylvania SE between 3rd and 4th has picked up the Lounge's Capitol Hill franchise for EPL games. I don't know whether they'll show England/Turkey or not. If you're looking for a Hill viewing option, you might give them a call.

well...you gotta understand, the 35 bucks at summers are not a big deal because you get these cheap turks that only get water and don't even tip the servers. Business is business.
Don't take it personally, during South American WCQ, you get cheap Argies who also order water.:)

That place is now called The Pourhouse, btw. And I'm not sure they play live EPL matches there or not.

My kid is playing in a youth tournament so I'll miss this, but Summers will have the following set of matches: Scotland v. Lithuania, Hungary v. Poland, Ireland against the Swiss, and England-Turkey. These start at 11 and got to 3. One or all for the cover plus ten dollars of food or drink.

As to the crowd, at the last England-Turkey there were 2 English fans and one nuetral for every Turk. It was a friendly yet competitive crowd.

Don't know about the Turkey friendly part, but I would go to the Lucky if I were to catch this match. Summers has too many matches on at the same time for me.

According to the setanta website, there only three places showing this match in the DC area: Summers, Fado, and Flanagans. Are you sure that Lucky Bar will show it?

Also, Summers has lowered their cover charge to $30, which still includes $10 for food/drink.

Lucky Bar just arranged for the match yesterday, don't know if Setanta's site will have it up by Saturday or not...

    ATTENTION

The England - Turkey game will NOT be available at the Lucky Bar. All venues listed on setenta.com are the ones in the DC area showing the match...

Lucky Bar sites "technical issues" for the problem.

Are any of these matches for home PPV?

I know Turkey v England isn't for some bizarre reason.
