CP... ya think they'd be running out of room about 3 or 4 years ago.

but no, they add M-force, move a few rides, add the back-to-back U shaped one.

and 'force isn't bad, but i don't see standing in line for a free ticket, only to stand in another line... hopefully that was the original hype. haven't been up there since 2001, so we'll see.

310 feet?? how about 420 feet... yeah, they've got the maximum insanity deal.

in fact, there was discussion about how much further the super-coasters could be pushed.

I think it's getting to the ridiculous side here: 120 MPH, 420 feet, just to get some title of tallest and fastest coaster? Personally, that holds as much water as the 0.97 brats-per-person pn buck a brat night or whatever that number is.

Holy Hell, Batman! Zero to 120 mph in four seconds! 420 feet! As a wise man - Cameron, Ferris' friend - once said, "I think I can see my dad from here."

I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about, Krypto, but you just stand in one line now for Millennium Force. And of course Cedar Point wants the tallest and fastest coaster. When you're a huge destination for coaster enthusiasts - those people that come from all over the country - you better keep pumping out taller and faster rides or else the riders won't come as frequently.

The summer it opened, you had to stand in a seperate line to get a free ticket for millennium force. One person = One ticket. The ticket said something like "Please enter the ride line between 3 PM and 4 PM". At the end of the line, near the on/off point, they had a employee who collected the tickets. No ticket = no ride.

Obviously, they've since done away with the second line.

Actually, at a lot of the coasters they've put in stands like that, but they're not required. If the line looks too long you can pick up a ticket for a later time that lets you bypass a lot of the line later. It's similar to Disney's FastPass or whatever it's called.

yeah, Six Flags Worlds of Adventure has a thing where for an addt'l fee, you can skip the entire line, your card gets punched, and you can sit/stand in any seat except the front one.
