My wife and I are headed to VA Beach to see friends and relatives this Memorial Day weekend.
This weekend the Virginia Beach Mariners are playing twice. Saturday at 7:30 vs Montreal and Monday 5:00 PM vs Toronto (we'll be home by then).

Anyone else thinking about heading down during United's "bye" week? The Mariners pounded Charleston 5-2 Friday and advanced in US Open qualifying with this win. They are 4-1 and trail the Battery by a point with a game in hand.

    Will do.

Going down on a Friday afternoon may be a problem but we are coming home Sunday evening so we hope to avoid traffic tie ups.

Should be an interesting game. Montreal plays at Richmond Friday night and at VA Beach Saturday night. Brutal scheduling but that's the minor leagues I guess. They do allow five subs which I like in the minors as more players can play.

Bill, enjoy yourself. I've seen the Mariners play twice so far (once on tv and once at the stadium) and they're an entertaining side to watch. I'm pretty sure you'll see some nice goals, with Lassiter, Washington, and Amani-Dove in that lineup.

Great stadium as well...you can stand in line for a beer and still see the game. What more could you ask for?
