Flyers need to win tomorrow and hope the Rangers blow it against Ottawa to capture the Atlantic. Nevemind the Devils.
I hope the Devils win the Atlantic because I don't want my team (Buffalo) to face them in the first round. Bring on Philly, or better yet the Rangers
[Ranger fan]No we're not! "King Henrik" has been injured, Jagr (his name is an anagram of God in some language, I'm sure)...has been allowed to be manhandled by the corrupt referees; and the league has OKayed the New Jersey Devils to "clutch and grab" again (so much so, that they're one of the least penalized teams in the league)... It's a conspiracy, I tell ya.... But we'll always have 1994...The bestest, bestest year since 1940![/Ranger fan]
Whaa, Whaa, Whaa. What I want to know is when is your ass going to leave Queens and make it to a Red Bulls game so I can drink a beer with you?
I will leave Queens in approximately 60-90 days... Seriously though...Eddie, you're one of my favorite posters. Name the time and place and I'm there. I'd be honored to hoist a pint with you!
Sharks will win the Stanley Cup. It should be rather obvious now. We have two of the best players this year on our team. It was ll a matter of time before we started playing like the real Sharks.
Ugh, how did I not see that joke. What a dope I am. This weekends game should be interesting. The troops are going to be riled up still from the incident in DC at the first game. I was there, it was actually a really f'd up situation. Happened before I realized what was going on.
In one fell swoop, MLS "legitimized" itself - forever free of the soccer moms (well, I'll take the MILFs). I may show up this weekend - during a break from the Devs en route to the Cup - may bring a very special guest (dependent on where they play), but we must keep clear of all aggros....
Oh yes HE certainly will! Albany 's NOT in the AHL playoffs, and instead of ten games (and twenty healthy scratches, where he still made NHL money) this year, I expect a full 82 (plus a long, long playoff run) in 06-07. Re last night: (to the tune of "Rule Britannia") Rule the Devils, The Devils rule the waves Rags and Flyers will be our slaves!
I thought the Flyers won the division until around noon when I saw that the Devils came back and won 4-3. I turned it off at the start of the third figuring that the Canadiens could/would hold the lead. DOH!
I REALLY like you! Isn't it funny how fans of the NY Rangers are so quick to dismiss their 6 game losing streak to end this past season (afterall, the playoffs are a new beginning)....whilst simultaneously disregarding the Devils' NHL season high win-streak to end the current year (and in the process, they set an NHL all-time record for greatest comeback by a division winner, ever?)...and still somehow being able to muster up the stones to act as if something so distant as 1997 has any relevance? It's official now. Cheering for the NY Rangers causes brain damage...
Oh, Jeezus... The Rangers are on the brink of elimination, and suddenly The New York Times realizes that there's another local team in the running for the Stanley Cup (and amazingly enough, they're also surprised that there are still a large number of knuckle-scrapers in the tri-state area that choose to wear something that's best used for personal hygiene, imho): "On the ice, it has barely been a contest, with the Devils easily taking a three-games-to-none lead over the Rangers in their first-round playoff series. But in the stands and on the streets, Rangers fans are holding their own, matching their Devils counterparts sweater for sweater, a No. 68 Jagr for every No. 30 Brodeur." http://www.nytimes.com/2006/04/28/s...=1146283200&partner=homepage&pagewanted=print Thanks for finally noticing us New York Times, now eff off!
Astorian, you rule! Was at MSG , with the nephew and the other healthy scratches and family members. Polite applause for the first goal got us a few fingers, but by goal #3, there was silence and could see some Rags fans muttering under their breaths......
Yes, but were it not for a gift (Mr. Thornton) from the world's most overrated team (Boston Bruins)........
..and probably the most underrated player in the NHL - fianlly realizing the promise he had when he entered the league
