    According to this article:

    http://www.majorleaguesoccer.com/content/03/met0314boca.html

the Metrostars added UVa's David Comfort and two guys I'm guessing were from their open tryouts ... one of which is named Johnny Etcheverry. Think Moreno will notice the difference?

The Metros are taking a preseason trip to Argentina and playing Boca Juniors, the same team that visited us and had a very feisty game at the Maryland Soccerplex against DC United. Sounds like a good trip. Bradley gets to recruit and test the team's metal at the same time.

I think Alavanja had one of the more dangerous chances of the game, showing exactly how bad the match was.

Johnny Etcheverry is Marco's nephew. I played a couple of time in VA while he was attending school here.

His older brother Johnny works at the famed Taihuichi Acadamy in Bolivia.

Being unable to attend that game (and I was quite pissed about that), I didn't remember where it was played. My appologies. I stand corrected. :)

"Van Hooijdonkesque" - ROFL! I'm not exactly sure why, but that expression just really really seemed funny to me. Nice post. Maybe it was the way you managed to slide the word "donke[y]" into the name while praising the Metros. Quite clever! :D
