Save the Boobs!!! This will be my fourth year in a row walking in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. I want to thank the Barra Brava again for all of the support. To participate, you need to raise $1800. You didn't see a donation box like in the past because I raised more than that at last year's fundraiser and it went towards that goal. You guys rock! Every year I wear a t-shirt with a picture of my mother on the front and a list of my contributors on the back. This year there is only one name on the shirt. La Barra Brava in big bold letters (along with the website address). Can't wait to tell the stories about the Barra's support to all the people who ask about it. And there will be a lot. Having one donor is very impressive. (Yes, I will have Barra business cards with me. I will be on mission "Recruit new members for Chico's Ladies of the Barra.") So there's a game at 3pm on Sunday. I will have just completed a 39 mile walk over the course of two days. It should be done around 1pm, so I will be rolling into the tailgate late and looking like a tired, worn down, but victorious warrior. If you still want to contribute, you will have your chance. This year I am particpating in three Avon Walks and I need to raise $1800 for each. The next one is in Denver on June 22nd, then in NYC on October 7th. I will have a donation box out at some point in the season and also post a link to donate online (which is the best way to get your tax deduction documented.) Thanks again for all the support. I do this because I just freakin' love breasts and the people that are attached to them. BTW, there's about 3000 women participating and about 20 men. What's a Duffman to do? It's shit like this that makes me proud to be part of La Barra Brava. We may have a bad name around MLS (don't get me wrong, I'm proud of that too ) but I dare anyone to say another supporters group does more to help people. Mike, you are the man.
