So totally off topic but I thought you cultured folks might enjoy knowing about a visit by a B-17 Flying Fortress to the Hayward Airport this weekend. Actually it will be there from 5/23 to 5/26. The B-17 is also being joined by a HE-111 Heinkel, another World War II bomber, except this one's from the "other guys." The cool part is they're offering rides in both planes! Anyway, the Hayward Airport is off 880 at the A street exit. PM me for more info.
Sounds cool, but will the plane rides be free or will they be charging a hefty fee?       GO EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Random jibberish clap, clap, clap-clap-clap. Besides, i'm not sure what I hate more, planes or horses or spiders or the Galaxy.
So you never read that issue of Spider-Man in which he took his horse on the flight down to the Rose Bowl last August?       GO EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
LDB, I love ya, but you're suckin' ALL the energy out of the room. It's for a good cause, keeps these wonderful pieces of our country's heritage in the air.
Hefty is the word for it. They were just here at Buchanan Field in Concord a week or two ago. Touring the plane while it is on the ground was about $10.00. But if you wanted a ride (about 30 minutes) a sizeable contribution of several hundred dolares was expected. I think it was $400 but I'm not sure, I fainted immediately after reading the article.
Thanks Albany.       Yikes! While it would definitely be cool to take a ride in one of those planes, that price is a bit steep (at least it is for me).       GO EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
elainemichelle, Now don't tell me that you are a colonel in the Confederate Air Force? If that's the case, we all be down there and talk bidness.
I saw the plane. It was pretty neat. Even cooler was the Civil War re-enactment going on a little south. Damn those cannons were loud.
There's gonna be an even louder Cannon further south later today.       GO EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
I'm the general. Some friends of the family were in charge of the B-17 we had down here. I was busy and couldn't make it up there though.
