For chrissake, that's awful. And the mainstream media is going to pick up on this no doubt to show how soccer leads to violence, etc.

Thats one of the major problems that the sport is going to face in this country. The black eye that is has received b/c of violence in other countries(and now here)is going to be hard to erase. I know all the MLS supporters groups want to be tough guys and act like Frodo Baggins in Green Street but we should all take this into account. If the violence gets out of hand at MLS or Nats games it can cripple the sport.

Some stuff for soccer bashers ... even if it does have nothing to do with soccer.

Turns out it wasnt a US fan, just a passer by.

Lesson learned:Dont get beer balls and throw bottles at peoples cars. This isnt a soccer game in Europe or SA.Over here you might get plugged.

Hahaha that was effed up when the Jets fans booed when Chad got hurt.

But you dont see those incidents in the news but if/when it happens at a soccer game you will get the "This is why we dont want this sport in the US!" bullS

That's one of my main gripes with the swamp..they go WAY overboard with soccer crowds..but American football fans can do anything they please out there.

I don't know if its still up on You Tube...but Jets fans go there in between quarters to smoke..guys used to throw change down to the bottom of the spiral ..guys would go to collect it..and get hit with beer spit and piss..one guy thought he was slick and brought an umbrella ..he started collecting the money..and someone threw a JD bottle right through and hit him in the head..from there..it became the spot where chicks would lift up their shirts..someone put it on You tube..the rest is history

That's what I'm saying..why do the meadowlands crack down on soccer fans cheering for their team..but allow this to go on..You said something last week..that I think its true..its because its not considered American..I agree with that
