Zidane just needs to make sure he gives Luka some rest. His form dipped last year for Real Madrid but I knew he wasn’t done. He was always excellent for Croatia in euro qualifiers. The legs are not what they used to be but class and footballing brain will always be there.

Benzema need to stop playing on the wing. Ronaldo is no longer in the center to receive it.
    Benzema was aweful today.
Now that defense is sorted (sort of) and we got midfield sorted for bug games, our season falls on the man that never have the tendencies to disappear and then score out of nowhere.

He was at a practice pace and intensity. Not willing to be physical, conserving energy where possible, not fighting for balls, running at half speed. Really no need for him in the team anymore. I know we're trying to play nice to avoid public conflict, but that shouldn't come at the expense of team performance.

We have two games before City and Barca; an easy home game vs. last place Celta Vigo, and a tough away game at Levante. Need Hazard back for next game; he needs to get 30 minutes or so at home vs. easy opponent.

He and his agent is trolling us.

According to his agent that performance is worthy of monster wages as it came from one of the best players in the world.

Isco and Luka were fantastic today, on both side of the ball.
Very well taken goal by Jovic, hopefully this is the beginning of a goal streak for him.

This was a very tough game, at a stadium that’s historically hard to play in, the crowd is relentless and the players respond well to that. Didn’t help that Bale was so shit that we might as well have played with 10 men, Benzema was also subdued for the most of the game, very lethargic stuff from him, looked like he only slept 2 hrs last night lol.

It’s crazy to say this considering he wasn’t that bad but this was perhaps Fede’s worst game in a long time, that’s how high a standard he set.

Osasuna today played some world class football, very different from what we’re used to seeing from them, it’s games like these that win you the league; we continue picking up these wins and remain strong at home and the league is ours.

I didn't think Osasuna was bad, but I think people are overestimating how good they were due to the great first impression they made. Their first 15 min was fantastic, and they very much deserved their goal. They somewhat spent themselves in that stretch though. There was no way that they were going to be able to keep up that level of pressing and intensity all game. After the 30th minute or so we were pretty comfortably better for the most part. Getting the equalizer was huge as it took away that extra bit of motivation teams get when they're defending what would be a grand, improbable result for them.

I should add that the difference between our defense with Marcelo vs Mendy is night and day, I can’t recall Mendy getting beaten once today, and even when they played behind him in space, he is so fast that it doesn’t matter in most cases.

You’re not the only one buddy, there’s plenty of others on this forum that doubted him, and wanted Marcelo and Reguillon to rotate as starters.

Against easier opposition with good cover around him like Casemiro and Velverde. I can see him play well in tight spaces.

Unfortunately I doubt we will see that experiment.

Isco was fun to watch today. Some of our passing sequences were fantastic. Got careless at times but overall thought we moved the ball well from the back. Modric and Valverde worked tirelessly. Mendy, Rick solid. Benz needed help up top and Bale wasn’t it. Happy for Jovic, sick finish. Courtois continues his strong run. Ramos, ********ing legend man! Love seeing this team work their way through adversity while still playing some entertaining stuff. Keep this thing going.
