Merry f***ing Christmas. Kyle Smith, Dagur Dan Thorhallsson, and Rodrigo Schlegel have all been transferred out. Kyle's departure is breaking news. It appears he's going on a free transfer. Dagur Dan is being transferred to CF Montreal for $500,000 in general allocation money, with a possible $125,000 GAM incentive based on performance metrics. Orlando City will retain a portion of his transfer fee should he be transferred out of MLS. Rodri is being transferred to Atlas of Liga MX. They were 14th in Liga MX for the 2025 Apertura, and are currently the lowest team in the coefficient table that will not be fined for lack of performance. He will join the team for the 2026 Clausura. His transfer fee is undisclosed by MLS. But there are signings to replenish the roster. Wilder Cartagena and Robin Jansson have both signed new contracts. Jansson is signed through "2027"; likely means just the truncated 2027 transitional season before MLS goes to the new fall-spring schedule. Wilder has an option for "2027".
Pedro Gallese is also among the players whose contract expired at the end of this season. It's looking like City is trying to acquired Paraguayan GK Carlos Coronel from Red Bull New York, with Javier Otero remaining the backup. No final deal has been announced yet.
