...has the 2020 home kit for Orlando City been spoiled?

I like what they've done with the place. Now to see how the Osceola County Stadium retool is going...

BTW: In case anyone was wondering, the Fire Frogs did indeed move to the Braves' new spring training facility, CoolToday Park in North Port.

My understanding is that the owners of the Fire Frogs wanted to move back to Brevard County. But Brevard County Stadium in Viera has already been repurposed for the US Specialty Sports Association, and Central Florida Sports Park in Cocoa would require upgrades that would delay move-in until 2021.

With the MiLB re-organization looming, its future still hangs in the balance beyond 2020. But as far as Osceola County is concerned, this is where their story ends.

Exploria Stadium is switching soft drink vendors from Coca-Cola to PepsiCo.

The announcement was made last Friday, with PepsiCo Beverages North America becoming the "official non-alcoholic pouring partner" of both City and Pride.

The switch puts them in line with the other stadia of the City of Orlando.

Exploria Stadium has switched its vending machines, and will provide Pepsi products (including Mtn Dew), Gatorade, bottled Muscle Milk protein drinks, various water products (from the description, likely not just Aquafina), and tea (don't know if they mean Lipton or Pure Leaf).

PepsiCo will also host postgame concerts.

Meanwhile, the Lions continued their preseason warm-ups last night when they beat Icelandic top-tier Champions KR Reykjavik, 3-1. Nani and Benji Michel paired up to score a couple goals within the first 10 minutes, and Nani notched a brace at 42'.

The Lions will finish their preseason Friday night with a closed-door scrimmage against San Antonio FC. They are currently 5-0-1 in the preseason, including their win in Mexico over third-tier Inter Playa.

KR will continue their tour of America on Friday night when they travel to FC Cincinnati.

    Well, this is awkward.

Orlando City has announced Bodyarmor as their official sports drink. This is in-line with a league-level sponsorship MLS recently announced.

Of course, there is a minor problem with this:

One of Bodyarmor's minority investors is The Coca-Cola Company.

Whom, as mentioned just above, the team just dumped as their official beverage provider.

I guess this means we will not find Gatorade at Exploria Stadium after all.

Of course, Bodyarmor is better than Gatorade or Powerade, anyway.

They will also have an Orlando City-themed branding with their Strawberry Banana flavor. I'm guessing this will be available at least at the stadium.

Bodyarmor has been making massive inroads with sponsorships since their founding in 2011. Kobe Bryant bought a large stake in the company in 2013. They have lots of sponsorships with individual athletes, and took up organization-wide sponsorships with the NCAA and UFC last year.

They replace Advocare as the official sports drink of MLS beginning this season. Advocare will remain the shirt sponsor for FC Dallas, as that deal doesn't lapse until the end of this season.

Hi, just wondering what Orlando City fans thought of Phil Rawlins? He's being talked about as getting involved with my club, Falkirk, who have been languishing in the third tier of Scottish football for the last couple of years, and have been outside the Premiership for around a decade, but with a decent fan base and stadium. Our Board of Directors haven't inspired much faith over the last few years, closing down the youth academy being one of the most short sighted of moves, hoping Rawlins might bring a bit of energy and hopefully cash to the table.
    Any thoughts, good and bad?

The fans have kind of soured on him a bit. Sure, he built the club and all, but he left his wife for a younger woman (who was also married at the time) and moved to Denver. The rumor is that he used officials in the club to conduct the affair. Pretty much abandoned the club after that. His now ex-wife still runs the club's charitable organization.

if his head is in the game, you won’t find a more tireless champion for your club.

We heard about that from social media but figured that if all of our private lives were held up to that kind of scrutiny few of us would be permitted a season ticket. It sounds like he built up the club and left it in a pretty good shape, if he had marital problems behind the scenes and moved on with someone else, that's a shame but nobody else's business. Hoping for the best!

P.S. I can understand that if you had a closer connection with the people involved your reaction and feelings about it could be very different, especially if his ex is still playing a big role at the club. We've just had a few unsavoury types sniffing around our club, and his credentials seem better than most...

They probably are. I think what turned most diehards off was the fact that he pulled club officials into the affair. It really wasn't very big news when it happened, and I doubt it matters to very many anymore. For most, he's simply not a part of the club anymore.
