If you believe what Lippi says, although I know most don't, this was the best group of Italian players available.. and they couldn't beat the MIGHTY New Zealand.

    Amauri> Iaquinta
    Balotelli> Gilardino
    Motta> Monotlivo+DDR

Even though it's a tad late now, hopefully it gets done before they cost Italy to drop farther down totem pole.. but it's time to replace every single player with foreign born ones.. NOW!

Balotelli is Italian, he was born and raised there. He's more Italian than most on this forum.

    amauri??

cassano, rossi, totti, miccoli, borriello and balotelli were dearly missed

lippi picked mid table team players instead of the best players

Amauri sucks more than Iaquinta. He played like garbage for the last 2 years. He would've been worse than Iaquinta, without a doubt.

Hey, I wouldn't have minded Balotelli being there.

Thiago Motta? He's alright but hardly a world beater.

That's the spirit! Now we need to convince a couple other Africans, Brazilians, Argentines and Germans to play for Italy and we'll be gold

Come on man, this thread is freaking stupid, I mean really Amauri? That was the missing ingredient. He played worse than Iaquinta this year.

I saw the open shot Iaquinta took today. Trust me, nothing is worse than that

Balotelli is Italian and should have been on this team! with that said, your statement is whats wrong with this team! We need to boot foreign players away and start giving your young players a chance to get good, Giovinco, Santon, Balotelli, all sit on their respective benches because we have a crapload of foreign players playing ahead of them! THAT IS WHATS WRONG WITH ITALIAN SOCCER!!

Since we always play the long ball.. yes, I think he would have made a better spear point than an out of shape Iaquinta. No doubt about it. We all saw what Iaquinta was capable of.. Amauri, not so much

No, trust me. I've watched nearly every Juve game and in the last 2 years, Amauri is much, much worse.

I disagree, but either way, Juve should invest in some players from New Zealand

You're right...although i think Amauri still has some hope of gettin gback to a decent player. But at the moment, Istinka is the lesser of two evils.

Balotelli isn't an oriundo and yeah, bring him on.

Amauri sucks much worse than Iaquinta...there's a reason Juve, despite stealing at least 10 points, finished 7th in a very average Serie A season.

Motta can't play for the NT.

The Oriundo Italy needed in this tournament was Fatih Terim...
