Here's my pick for the alltime Dutch squad, but I am sure someone could convince me otherwise!

Yeah, Windy, I thought about Rijkaard only after I posted and couldn't edit. I like Rijkaard over De Boer although who could forget that 50 plus yard pass to Bergkamp that did the Argentines in for good!

Although I like Stam, I do think Koeman is a much better player in terms of his skill and he's a bit quicker than Stam. But, Stam is certainly a class act!

 

While I agree with the choice of Rijkaard (and the more I think about it, I can't for the life of me figure out why I put in De Boer), Van Breukelen was a big time keeper and the only Dutch keeper to exude the confidence of a champion and win a trophy. In the '88 Euro final against the Soviets, with his team up 2-0, Van Breukelen made one of the finest saves against Belanov's spot-kick. Van der Sar is a great keeper, but I have seen them both play and Hans Van Breukelen is a better keeper.

 

Kaushik, yours is the squad that I would go with as the greatest Dutch talent ever!
