When's this game being played anyway?

I would have said Holland would win this game before the Tsjech's game against the French, and now I'm still saying it :D

The Tsjech's have a good team though, I think they win their home game.

I think it will be very hard. If we win, it will be by the smallest of margins. I say either 1-0 or 2-1

Anyway, IF we win we'll be well on our way to Portugal

    Gotta get 3 points

will be a very tough match as the Czechs are in splendid form me thinks. And I'm not too sold on Dutch D that's been exposed so many times before when it counted. If Oranje win (and I hope they do) it could be all they need to advance to EC 2004 as their next Czech game is the last game on the schedule and could already be a non-factor by that time. The schedule favors Oranje and they should take full advantage of it.

    Hup.

***************. I just realized I'll be in Miami that weekend and won't know where to go to watch the game. Anybody know where in Miami the game might be televised?

im gonna predict a 2-1 or 2-0 win for the Oranje. I personally believe Holland is playing as one of the top 3 teams in the world right now (and not eveing playing up to full potential imo). should be an interesting match. and i would also like to know if this game is gonna be televised anywhere in south florida? anyone think it will be on PPV like the Argie game?

Anyone guessing on starting line-ups? My Oranje XI,

    Westerveld

    De Boer
    Stam
    Reiziger

    R. De Boer
    Davids
    Seedorf
    Overmars

    Kluivert
    van Nistelrooy
    Makaay

Now I'm guessing Dick will keep Zenden in, who knows why other than for his speed, Oscar I have to agree with you :) Might be nice to see van der Vaart, but I doubt that Dick will have the balls to put him in. I also think that RDB is playing some of his best football at Rangers, but I don't think he'll get the call to start. Have Kluivert play behind Ruud and Roy, i think he thrives in that position.

    ....................Waterreus..................
    Reiziger....Stam...de Boer...Bronckhorst
    Seedorf......??????????????........Davids
    ..............Makaay.....Kluivert..............

I think Overmars has joined van Bommel and vd Sar on the injury list, not sure though.

Don't know how they should solve the gaping hole in the midfield now that Cocu and van Bommel arent available.

They can pair Bosvelt (def-mid) with Kluivert (off-mid) and put Ruud up front with Makaay.

They can put Davids in there with Bosvelt, and vd Meyde on the left (although he hasn't been playing so great the last few matches......then again, Zenden will most likely be selected...so it's not like the coach looks at which players performed well for their club to determine the team :D )

Perfect opportunity to use vd Vaart, but maybe he'll be injured again come that match and/or it might be better to not let him play this game so he will heal better.

Hell, they could even use Robben on the left if Davids goes central....though this game might not be the best choice to try-out new players (understatement?)

    Meh

i like how you are thinking in your lineup Oscar but like you stated there is a problem.
since we all know Zenden will be picked couldn't they play him at his (now) usual position of left back and put van Brockhorst at D-mid or left mid and throw Davids in at D-Mid? and if they are only going to need someone in the middle for a game or two why not call up Ronald de Boer? from what i know and have heard he is doing quite well right now. or how about use Ricksen at right back and then put F. de Boer or Reiziger at D-mid?
i'm not sure if any of these would work that well, anyone wanna chime in on my suggestions?

Hmmm...I'm wondering why I thought van Bommel wouldn't be available...he is injured isn't he? Or maybe suspended for that game? No? Blah.

R de Boer was called up in the previous game I thought, I'm one of the people who think he has no place in the Dutch squad though.

I liked Reiziger as a centre back in the Argentina game, Saviola had no chance at all. So I guess you can put F de Boer in the midfield, and fill the right back position with Ricksen.

i somewhat agree with you with Ronald but he is playing well and if you really needed someone for one game....you know. Reiziger is very good in the middle and putting frank up would work.
although if needed van brockhorst could go left mid, davids d-mid, drop kluivert to a-mid, and pair makaay and van nistelrooij up front.

    Mid

Having Cocu out is a big loss. I'm not crazy about poutting F de Boer in the mid, then again I'm not crazy about F de Boer anywhere on the pitch. ;-) He's becoming a real liability defensively IMO. I see Advocaat putting Bosvelt there before he'd put F de Boer in the mid. My guess is a line-up as follows (which sounds like what you guys have been talking about):

    Wattereus

Ricksen Stam de Boer van Bronckhorst

    Seedorf Davids Zenden

    Kluivert

    Makaay RVN

Man Cocus injury really sux. I think Rafs should play and Davids should move to the centre. Zenden is kinda letting me down in offense bot he's been doing really well in D#.
I've also noticed that when Rafs plays Hasselbaink scores. Rafs has great offensive awareness and it looks like both he and Jerrel are hitting it off on the pitch. He's truly a refreshing sight on the field.
My dutch squad would be (with cocu playing):

    Reiziger Stam De Boer Zenden
    Cocu/van Bronckhorst
    Seedorf v/d Vaart Davids
    Kluivert
    Hasselbaink

The best reason to put him in the midfield (if you'd choose to play him at all that is) he'd have to worry less about his defensive role, and more about giving those good passes.

Makaay played 9 out of 10 at rightwing.
It´s a luxury-problem with all these strikers,it will be Van Nistelrooij and Kluivert, don´t count on any surprises with Advocaat as boss(?).

Kluivert sux BIG TIME (take in count I'm a blaugrana fan, not to say I'm Barça forum mod ;) ) to miss Makaay its stupid, plain and simple, he's having a good streak of results finishing, let it be! I wonder why DunkMachine doesnt put Patrick's numbers as well to compare the whole situation.

    Kluivert Decidely Does NOT suck

but he's not a striker either. He's best playing behind or with a principla striker.
