I didn't see a thread for this. I absolutely love Orange Avenue. When we get there too early to go inside for the game I always head over there. At the back corner of OA there is a Dynamo tent where if you are between the ages of 12-21 you can ask the guys to be a flag-bearer for the game. They need about 30 kids and you get a free t shirt. The Fuddruckers truck serves the best food, and they also hand out those plastic balloon clapper things too. Direct Energy has a booth where you can take your picture and get some badass Dynamo sunglasses. McDonalds has their same old kick in the target thing that they had at Robertson except now they hand out coupons for a free Berry Chiller!! There are also booths from Texas Children's Hospital, Mambo Seafood, Hooters, and much much more. What is y'all's favorite part of OA?
I really love the porta-potties. They come in handy after a few beers from Orange Avenue vendors like Lucky's beer stand.
We keep meaning to go over there but end up wasting our time in the parking lot. What's the Fuddrucker's like? Are there tables to eat once you get your food?
I'm pretty sure I've seen some tables where you can stand and eat. I like the concept of Orange Ave. and the idea of getting some food there before the game, but it's been so damn hot every time I've gone down there. We always just end up at one of the bars or restaurants nearby where we can eat and drink in glorious, glorious air conditioning.
The place around Robertson like that was a dump, but at least there were some trees and some shade, it was usually fairly pleasant.
the burgers are great...we took ours to the concrete ledge next to the stadium...nice shady place to sit and eat...
I've gone there to get fuddruckers burger but never pulled the trigger because it doesn't look like it could come anywhere close to a real fudds burger. What is the verdict from those who tried it? Now the sausage on stick is yumzers. And Burro's a tad further west is fantastic.
