I know, I know.. 2 games in and he was 60 minute subs in both games, but figured I'd start this thread anyways 'cause, you know, I'm bored. :) So, what is everyone's opinion of Tiffert in what you've seen of him so far?

Against Galaxy he was good and last night was disappointment. It is hard to gel with rest of team in USOC final game that was more physical than technical. I hope he will start against SJ and play 90 minutes and I will like to see him more in attacking mode. Sigi also need to be clear where he wants him to play. Looks like Tiffy was lost last night and did not know exactly what role he needs to play.

Too early for me to give a full opinion on Tiffert.

:) My daughter started calling him Tiffy last night and I just took over from her! Well he played like teenage girl last night so he deserved Tiffy nickname.

Hard to say at this point. Not surprisingly against the Galaxy the Sounders were playing so well that he looked good and conversely the Sounders played like crap against SKC (particularly on offense) and he looked pretty bad. So I really haven't formed an opinion yet.

I added him to the Sounders on FIFA and he is the man . Moved Evans out wide in for Flaco.

It's really too hard to say at this point. He came in in a game where we were playing great and he looked great. Then he comes into a game where we're not playing well and he looks just okay. I disagree with JoeCelt that he "played like a teenage girl." If anything when he came on I thought we got some much needed energy. The guy was hustling all over the place, and he's new to a squad that was playing like they were all on the team for just two weeks. Once he actually figures out his role with the team, he's going to be good. If it hasn't been noticed yet, Sigi isn't very good at incorporating players into a certain role on the team. Just look at Ljungberg, Evans, Zakuani, Fernandez and Montero. I'm sure there are a few more that I'm not thinking of.

As of the 60th minute in the San Jose game he's looked very very solid. Great service of the ball and good at holding the ball up. I can see why he had so many assists for his old team.

Actually that's what the Kaiserslaughtern fans called him -- Tifi.. hearing Germans pronounce his name it's more like "TEE-fut"

Anyway, he looks like he plays as advertised... Although he's dropped much further back than I expected him, and maybe that's good (or maybe that's just what sigi told him to do). But he is just a piece of the puzzle, not the answer.

We've spent all this money and energy building a talented midfield, but it's being wasted with how direct we've been playing. Once we get our final starting XI together, I expect us to play through the MF a lot more.

Tifi played OK, had some good crosses and corner kicks. He will get better for sure. Hope that Sounders can play their best and rested players against Vancouver and that Tifi will assist or score.

Me too! But even with his bad day we were able to win. Still lots of time before playoffs to tune Tifi and Martinez.

Not worried in the slightest. Newcomer, just getting into full match fitness. Learning his teammates and the league.

You could tell that he wasn't sure which way guys were going to run a few of those times with the unsuccessful passes He just needs to get used to his teammates more.

To me he has looked like he will be very good for the Sounders as the year progresses. I agree with Guelch that at times it appears he doesn't know where the guys are going, but I love how clam he is with the ball. The way he draws in the defense and then makes the pass once the defender has committed to him is excellent. I expect a lot more play through the MF coming soon (and to me that means a lot of goals).
