Could you Dutch fans give a fair assessment on these four players if you are familiar with them? Lee Young-Pyo (wingback for PSV Eindhoven) Park Ji-Sung (midfielder for PSV Eindhoven) Song Chong-Gug (midfielder for Feyenoord) Kim Nam-Il (midfielder for Excelsior)
Two of those are benchsitters, and the Feyenoord one is injured or something. The only one that regularly plays is the left back of PSV, seems a pretty normal player so far. Didn't have a great game against Feyenoord last weekend though....at all.
Song was good at the begin of the season (before his injury), but nothing special. Lee is good, but also nothing really special. Park has played the last few games of the season and did very good About Kim I don't know much...
Lee Young-Pyo (wingback for PSV Eindhoven): Very impressive! This allround defender/midfielder started on his first match coaching his teammates, which proves he has something more to offer. I have never seen a player who can be so decisive in the teamplay on the left back position. When he plays on the right side of the field he isn't as impressive. That is why he normally plays (very well) on the left side. So Lee Young-Pyo is an excellent player and already one of my favourite players at PSV. Park Ji-Sung (midfielder for PSV Eindhoven): Has played two matches from the start and came from the bench a couple of more times. To me he hasn't proved his full potential as we have seen on the world cup. This off course has to do with his injury. But I have seen that he is a very intelligent and creative player and I think he will become very important to the team next year. Song Chong-Gug (midfielder for Feyenoord): Song was very impressive at his start at Feijenoord. Defensive and attacking, he proved to be an worthfull addition to the Dutch league. To me it is unbelievable that he doesn't start every match, either as right defender of midfielder. He should play always. Kim Nam-Il (midfielder for Excelsior): With his games for Excelsior, Kim has not impressed me with his talent. Although he played for a bad team he didn't rose above the rest of this mediocre team. I don't think Kim is going to make it in the Netherlands.
I can only comment on the PSV guys. Lee: good player. at the end of the season he had some difficult matches, but overall he seems to be a good addition to the squad. espescially his game agains ajax was very impressive. Park: he played only a couple of matches because he was injured for some time. It is obvious that Park is a talent, but this summer he should really rest, he has been playin 2 years non stop, and his game shows that he is really tired. we'll see about him next year I hope!
