Landon just did an interview on KFOG this morning. Has anyone seen or heard any other pre-game publicity? It would sure be nice to see a full stadium for the double header.
I mentioned in the Landon thread that LD did an interview yesterday morning on KNBR on John London's show. Of course, he did mention the home opener being this Saturday, albeit briefly.
      There seemed to be a lot of Earthquakes interviews on various radio stations lately!       On the other hand, I've only seen a less-than quarter-page ad buried deep in the sports section of the Merc once every several days. Hopefully the Quakes can have a huge ad in the paper either on Friday or Saturday (or both).       GO EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Josh Saunders and Chris Roner were interviewed on "Bear Talk" on KALX FM on Wednesday night. They talked about playing soccer professionally and growing soccer in San Jose. They both played at UC Berkeley. Hopefully all this publicity will get people out to the game.
I give credit to Shrader, too. John was doing a bigtime plug during the 20/20 sports updates on KNBR today (Friday) during midday. He mentioned the double-header and detailed that the first match featured Brandi Chastain and Mia Hamm and the nightcap starred Landon and the Quakes. Another really nice touch he threw in for the casual fans--he mentioned that all teams are undefeated this year. (I know, it's only week 2 in MLS and the WUSA has just started but to the casual fan, that sounds pretty good.)
