DCU is going to be holding a party at the exchange during the KC game. They hope to get a good crowd like for the US-Arg match again. It is a nice time there and should make for a good atmosphere. Hopefully we can get a good crowd there and build up some momentum for the 19th!

I think the crowd is going to be a good one at the Exchange on 12 April. People in Richmond were coordinating to meet there and at the SE Annual Meeting/Happy Hour those who weren't going to KC were planning to go to the Exchange.

Getting legless there will probably be a good (the only?) idea.

legless = stocious = tanked = fecked = pickled = having one's faculties impaired be excessive intake of alcohol.

    It's the meridian method.

ah, i get it, one's legs buckle as it were. i usually use the word "buckled" as my euphanism, based on an old incident after a bachelor party...

todd, i'd recommend metro, the farragut west station is just a coupld of blocks away.

the exchange is on G street between 17th and 18th.

i don't live in nova so i don't know the best way, though there is no shortage of ways. it is right near the white house and the old exec. building.

    Here is their website http://www.theexchangesaloon.com

click on about and then location

Farragut West and Farragut N are the closest metro stops. Parking is wherever you can find on the street.

I've always been partial to the expression 'foxed'. It denotes both drunk AND sexy (Drexy? Sunk?). Here's to getting foxed saturday.

i hope the bartender isn't the same sloth-like moron they had for the us-venezula match. not only did he move slow as hell, forget orders, but he had no frickin idea of how to poor a guinness stout!

i told them dudes at the us-argentina match--football crowds want stout, jamesons and the cap'n. have lots, we are happy.

Well, Wednesday is over half done so it is really only 3 days to go...and of course, since the game is on Saturday that really shouldn't count so it is only 2 days to go...and Friday seems to go by really fast I'm not sure if that counts as a full day so in fact it is only 1 day until game time...and Thursday is really just Friday-lite so I don't think it should count at all....

WOOOHOOOO, TODAY IS GAME DAY!

We'll be at the Exchange. I've never been there, but I heard it's really good.

REV!!! THANK YOU! for that analogy...I really needed that! The perfect way to almost end my Wednesday workday at 10:30pm...still have another 2 hours worth of work to do before I get to sleep, and 4:30am comes very early at this rate! At least I have a smile on my face to help me make these next 2 hours more bearable! ;)

Bud, Stout, Pepsi, Water, whatever your pleasure please come our and show your support for D.C. United and The Exchange Sports Saloon.

Thomas Rongen will be doing the color commentary for CSN and it is rumored that he will be giving a special plug to the fans at The Exchange!

    See you Saturday night!

    Preach on.

(though I drink Foggy or Redhook at RFK but I get the jist of your jest).

Can you imagine if they had Guinness at RFK? I shudder to think.

While I go out of my way to purchase items from MLS sponsors, I do have to draw the line here. Sorry but Budweiser is not to my taste. I dream of the day when Jever becomes the MLS Beer sponsor - I think I could single-handedly justify the ROI of that sponsorship... :)

BTW - the Exchange should be pretty happening and I have no doubt that we'll be dropping some money on the variety of beverages and food items they offer!
