I just checked Ticketmaster again and even if you put in 1 ticket, best available, there are none. Perhaps the Galaxy are holding some tickets still for "Big Game" plans, etc., but it's safe to say now opening day is going to be a sellout if it isn't already, though I don't think there was ever doubt on that.
Update: Well a few hours later now and some seats are available in sections that none where even a couple of days ago. The Galaxy must have given more to Ticketmaster's allocation. Another interesting thing. Now the north end seats have section numbers on the seating chart. Edit: Yep. There selling seats in the north end now and suddenly you can get blocks of ten in some sections again. The gave seats they were holding for plans to Ticketmaster. With all the press that should come this week and the broadcast today, they'll be gone soon.
Well it seems that for now the only seats on Lalas hill for sale are the corner seats there that were never available before. This whole thread is a mess! My personal mess. I wish it would go away.. I really wish the title would, at least!
HDC Track and Field opener is sold-out eariler today (12pm to 2pm) and live coverage on ESPN2. Report said T&F, tennis courts and soccer fields are excellent!
wolves, i've been checking ticketmaster periodically and i have no clue what's going on either. sometimes you can't get a block of 5 tickets and last time i checked you could still get a block on 20 tickets.
I've been watching everyday and it seems that what happened is as soon as the tickets were gone at Ticketmaster, the Galaxy gave them a lot of tickets they were still trying to sell with the various ticket plans. I guess they over estimated on that demand and ticketmaster was out so they gave them more. As I mentioned above.
2 best available: Sec 128 Row T, $45 each. Those are lousy seats for $45, right in the corner. This is also the section and row with the best single seat. 2 best $30 seats: Sec 118 Row V. No pairs available at $28. Best $22 seats: Sec 101 Row X. No upper deck available at all -- not even singles.
Where are those goof balls who said you can tell everything by how many ticketmaster seast are available. I told you before and I am telling you now. None of you know jack as to how many tickets are for sale!!
Even as marketing-challanged as LAG management has proved to be over the years, you would think they would understand the significance of a sell out. If it sells out, I would expect press releases, statements on the web site, stories on MLSNET, etc. etc. When we see those, we will know its been sold out. Before that, who knows.
Upper Deck and Corner Sections sold out According to an e-mail I received from Tim Martin, the only available seats left are a limited number in the end zone and on the sideline. When and if the stadium sells out, we WILL hear about it. Part of the e-mail: Dear Soccer Supporter, The LA Galaxy ticket operations has just announced that the Corner Seat location (in addition to the Upper Deck) is now SOLD OUT for the June 7th Galaxy game at The Home Depot Center. There are now only limited numbers of tickets available the end zone and sideline sections. I urge you to get your tickets now, for your team or for your family.
Block of 6 tickets open in section 134 row Q....Block of 10 tickets still available section 134 Row R I don't think this game will sell out
Re: Upper Deck and Corner Sections sold out He was wrong. Since the e-mail tickets in several sections have come up for sale. It just keeps moving around to different sections still where tickets are available.
There are at least 3 seats available I just went on Ticketmaster and row 134 came back which is almost in the middle pretty good seat for 2 days away. Did the Galaxy hold seats and now they are letting them go? If so why?
They held seats for the plans. "Big Game Plan", season seats, etc. They have been releasing them back to Ticketmaster bit by bit.
I had a ticketing issue in which I was sent charged and sent 8 tickets that I didn't order. I was talking with Blaine Shepard yesterday, who is the director of ticketing, and he mentioned told me they had a lot of ticketing issues. He was great, and had the 8 tickets cancelled, which would open up seats 8 seats to sell they didn't think they previously had. If this happened to anyone else, it may explain why new tickets open up. Saw the stadium for the first time yesterday in person...wow. The pictures look great, but don't do it justice. It is beautiful.
Tim Martin: "LA Galaxy's Home Opener are now virtually SOLD-OUT!" I know his veracity has been questioned on this very thread but I thought I would post part of his e-mail anyways. I probably should send him a reply telling him I already bought tickets to the game and he does not have to keep trying to sell me tickets This eskimo already has ice, man! Dear Soccer Fan, Tickets to the LA Galaxy's Home Opener are now virtually SOLD-OUT! We have just a few sideline tickets left @ $45 each, and these are going extremely fast.
That is all that is available today at Ticketmaster. Sideline seats. It seems from location and the numbers you can buy, there are more than a few but I expect they will be gone by tomorrow night if there is any TV publicity coming. That's a big if.
The opener is going to be a sellout. The July 4th game is going to be a sellout, how are the rest of the games going to be attended. What do you think you guys are going to average for the season? I can't waite to see it in person maybe I'll make out when you guys play the FIRE on the 9/13.
