$100 to tryout for the Blast?
$150-$200 to tryout for the Roar?

    Say what?

I can understand the Blast. They have their players, know the local/regional soccer players and probably don't even need to have tryouts. If someone wants to give them $100, more power to them. If they can actually find a roster-worthy player to boot, even better.

You're right...the Roar's tryout pricing doesn't make any sense for a first-year team in a town that has never had professional indoor soccer.

Hasn't tryout fees been normal for minor league clubs for the past few years? Not just soccer, but other sports, too? I think it is to help cover insurance in the event the player is injured, IMHO.

Yes, but usually they are $25-$50.

Of course, you have to have the minimum 200-300% profit mark up.

A futsal court can have AstroTurf. The main difference between futsal and indoor soccer is that futsal has no walls.

Kit, I've never seen a futsal court with AstroTurf. That's why they play with a low-bounce ball. Please provide an example.

The futsal courts I have seen have not had astro turf. I'm sure it can have astro turf but I have never seen one with astroturf.

Milwaukee held several futsal games (and maybe even a tournament) on their field last season.
