My good wife has been talking to the Columbus Crew ticket office, and they have been most helpful. Crew has asked that any LAG fans who want to go to the Open Cup please contact Paul Howard by e-mail. His e-mail address is: phoward@mlsnet.com He will try to put together a block of seats for LAG fans, and thinks that he can "do better" for us than the normal Crew visitors' corner, but he needs to know how many are likely to be coming. Prices will be set by USSF, not the Crew. Please pass the word around, and give interested fans his e-mail address. I will post it on the Galaxy mailing list when I get home tonight, but if someone here could post it on the LARS web site, that would probably be useful. I do not know if there is a Galaxian web site or a Barra Amarilla web site, but anything we can do to get the word around to LAG fans would be appreciated.
Cadaver thanks for your efforts. The following is not a reflection on you. Of course he can "do better". It's a *$#!ing Thursday night game. Look at the pathetic showing that Columbus had for the semi.
Thanks for the posting on LARS, and I hope that some of you guys are going to make it to the game to keep Lori and me company! Yeah, I know he has lots of tickets. But, Crew stadium already has a designated visiting fans section, and it would be the easiest thing in the world for them to just put people there. Paul is trying to move the visiting group to a better location. Hats off to him for making that effort - It may not be hard for him to do, but he doesn't have any obligation to do it at all. Face it, the number of LA fans coming to the game is not going to make a hill of beans differnce to the Crew. I hope the LAG front office is as accomodating to visitors to the Rose Bowl (except of course the ones from San Jose who should be kept safely in their little corner).
