Yes, I know we have another match before this one. But those of us on the West Coast hafta start planning as it Kicksoff at 4:30 on Thursday and it's on Fox World which means most of us have to find somewhere with satellite to view it.

it's gonna be tough to get these guys to focus on the open cup... they must be on such an emotional high after so many dissapointments.

columbus' entire season comes down to wednesday, if they don't win they'll have no hardware to show for a pretty good showing this season. they have a winning record against the Gs and they're playing at home, they must have more of a desire to win.

i hope sigi plays a couple different players from today. matt in goal (he must be really amped to win something), maybe waibel, cien (the full 90 or bring him on at the end), maybe mckinley... just get some guys out there that didn't get to play today.

I think you are wrong in the line-up we should have our starters in this one. We have no reason to field a lesser team than we did at MLS cup. We MUST win this game, no excuses
    1-game left.

Mrs. Cadaver and I fly to Detroit Wednesday, pick up our son in Ann Arbor and drive down to Columbus on Thursday. Soooo - there will be at least three loud mouthed fans there supporting our boys. Hope there are some others!

i don't think if we field waibel for marshall or reis for hartman or tennyson for albright or mullan for moreno, it's a lesser team, just a different team.

lalas, cobi, ruiz, simon and ez should obviously stay, but our guys put in a hell of a performance today and to ask them all to come out fired up and healthy on thursday is asking alot. hopefully sigi will see who's pumped and ready and who needs a break.

The Dudes will definitely take this match seriously. Winning on Thursday will be the final jewel in the Dude's most excellent season.

As far as whether or not to start the same line-up, Kev isn't exactly tired from all of the shots he had to stop against the Revs, nor are the players up front and in the middle, who are used to the running. The tired people are going to be Marshall, 'Lexi, and Califf.

Resting some of the starters from the Revs match tells the Crew, "We're tired from Sunday." Make the Crew face the same line-up that the Revs did. The Dudes would make a big statement by putting the same line-up on the pitch. It boldly says, "We can beat you on three days rest."

Go Dudes! The Treble is yours for the taking.

I dont think messing with a backline that is hitting on all cylinders is a good idea. The crew has a potent offense, almost as good as ours. The midfield with cien and backed up with pete or Vice bersa is great. About the only thing i agree with is albright for Tennyson and mayebe Hartman for reis. Other than that i dont wanna give an inch.

Man, killer road trip. But it takes a hot team to hang with it.

    Who's hot? GaLAxy, baby!

    My early lineup guess:
    -------------Reis------------
    ---Marshall---Lalas---Califf---
    --------Victorine---EZ-------
    ----Jones---Cien---Elliot-----
    --------Moreno---Ruiz-------

Basically like the MLS Cup lineup but Reis in for Hartman. I agree that the backline shouldn't be tampered with. Those three have come up big.

Our luck with Columbus hasn't been great, but I'm hoping it'll be good this time around. It should be a good match. And there's two former CSUF Titans in Columbus: Duncan Oughton and Brian Dunseth. Just some random useless trivia at ya.

Can't find any indication that there will be TV coverage??? Fox Sports World is showing Argentine Soccer at game time. Nothing against Argentine Soccer - but how can they cover the quarters and semis and then take a pass on the finals?

You took the words right out of my mouth. I'm going to have to take off early from work to catch the game. I hate recording the games.

    GO GALAXY!!

A chance to make some history!!

NO team has ever won the Supporter's Shield, MLS Cup & US Open Cup in the same year.

I think we have a great opportunity to cement our place in soccer history.

We'll probably see Reis in goal, Mullan, Tennyson (hopefully) and Albright (unfortunately).

I like our chances. GALAXY 2 Crew 1.

    Galaxy win the TREBLE!!!!!!!!!

Matt WILL be in goal. That was reported last week. Other than that, I'm guessing Sigi will take a look at things today and we'll know more soon.

Thanks for the info. I looked at the electronic guide on DirecTV/Ultimate TV this a.m. and it still didn't show - but I take your word for it that DTV is just slow on the update.

The Game will be on LIVE on FSW at 7PM Eastern, A friend of mine is working the video truck for the feed.

Of course I don't know what channel FSW is on in SoCal but I am 100% positive that it will be on live, afterall they have been advertising it for a couple of weeks now also.

To the posts explaining that the match is indeed on TV, I'll just add that it will also be webcast by the Crew's flagship station at

    http://www.eagle1039.com/

The announcers are first rate, but be advised that they are hired and paid by the Columbus Crew and (mostly) listened to by CREW fans, so their commentary may sound a little biased to you. I add this disclaimer because every match somebody posts a "gee, what a couple of homers those guys are, they kept talking about Crew players" post from Chicago or Dallas or something.

Yes indeed, they ARE homers. A couple guys hired by the Galaxy to broadcast on an LA station to LA fans would sound that way too. But former USMNT Captain and current NCAA Head Coach Dwight Burgess also knows the game. So don't bitch.

That having been said, it's also understood that you guys are a little brighter than some of the 25 Watt Fire fans who frequent the Crew Forum, so it's expected you would have understood this anyway.

Thanks, enjoy the game and GO CREW.
