I must have watched a different game than some of you. I thought we looked more aggressive and our ball carry improved so much after Jude came on. He was the spark that we needed and we instantly looked much more threatening. His ability to dribble out of tight spaces, move the ball forward, and constantly putting the press on is what we needed against a team like Bayern. He needs to start the 2nd leg over Arda.

Honestly, I did not think he was bad today. It was a game without two key players (Courtois and Tchou). Bellingham was coming back from a long injury and had to play against the best Bayern side. That is a tough situation. The midfield did well for large parts of the match. Of course, Bayern were stronger in the second half, but there were enough chances to win.

We’ve seen flashes of quality from Jude, I don’t think anyone would deny that.

It’s the positioning, holding the ball too long and lack of vertical passing that’s poor.

 

Obviously a good player and I've been a big fan in the past but I really don't think his status in the team is deserved right now. Not sure why he is talked about like he is undisputed or even at Mbappe or Vinicius levels.

He's still 22yrs old so really young but I would like his position to be rotated more as a young player. With Nico Paz and Guler developing more in the last year, his place is not assured.

 

He's talked that way because he finished 3rd in Ballon d'Or. Vini 2nd, Mbappe 3rd.
He's marketable and the club will start them all if they're all at the club

He has lost his star power. No more hey jude songs, no more iconic celebrations. His marketability is not that great really. It will continue to dwindle if he doesn't improve.

I hope he comes back but right now he is behind Aurelien , Guler and Valverde in terms of performances. We actually never felt like we missed him when he was injured. In fact it looked better with Thiago which was weird.
