Jude showing frustration is literally the bare minimum sign that he gives a damn. If he walked off smiling you’d be crying about lack of passion and mentality. Funny how people melting down on a forum after every misplaced pass are preaching stoicism now.
I think we've had enough emotion bonus points for the next 3 years. Now it's time for a bit of performance.
I get that, but we are acting like showing emotion and delivering on the pitch are mutually exclusive. The guy kneels down gutted after a loss and suddenly he is farming clout instead of hurting from getting cooked at home. If he walked off mask faced the same lot would be back in here posting about “no character in this team”.
Those are not the only two things he can do, or have you forgotten about your own "the world of football isnt like chocolate, its not black or white" diatribes, context girl?
I didn't say, universe only has two buttons labeled “weep theatrically” and “walk off like a mannequin". Emotion is not evidence of clout chasing. It is also not a get out of jail free card. It can coexist with a bad performance. SO context here is exactly that this forum rewrites the rulebook after every result. Win or lose. Laugh or cry.
Jude is first to praise himself when things are going swell. Haven’t heard a peep from him in all of his interviews of taking accountability for his shit performance.
It's just sad that we probably found the ideal way for him to play and he can neither do that with us or England.
He might be a good option up front next to Mbappe, can see it happening if we start benching star players.
Let’s be real. If he’d said “I was terrible,” you’d be roasting him for making it about himself. If he says “we need to improve,” you call it deflection. It sounds like you do not want accountability but a confession, trial and then public flogging. Its not a court testimony. It's a post match interview where the guy owned up mistakes.
He could be the best CF in the world if he makes a couple tweaks. That means getting rid of Vini but of course.
Field presence of vini in no way affects how Bellingham plays. The idea that one player's success demands the other's deletion is console logic
Actually the opposite of this idea, which is that any player can play well next to any other player, is console logic. Bellingham did well today because he put an extra shift, but his ability will never be maximized as long as a defensively weak and spatially inept + sloppy first touch Arda is next to him playing the role Zubimendi was supposed to play.
Club should at least give Xabi Aleix Garcia type option in January. Else we won't be competing for anything no matter the coach.
Cool, my quote was in ref to Jude & Vini. These two aren't bluetooth devices interfering with each other. They’re both elite, adaptable and both can thrive in a functional system, esp under a coach who knows how to stagger roles instead of stacking egos.
Wait, theyre not??? Well that changes everything! I guess the only thing left to do then is to simply calculate European coaches' staggered roles vs stacked egos ratio, find the guy who has the best one, bring him here, and voila. Suddenly Vinicius will stop doing stupid shit and Bellingham will not hog the ball anymore and run into blind alleys with it.
You know what I love about your replies? The way you take a normal point, inflate it like a parade balloon n then pretend that is what anyone actually said. No one ever said there's some magical coach who just shows up, sprinkles a little tactical fairy dust and suddenly Vinicius stops making silly mistakes off the ball while Jude never runs into traffic again. We're all human, after all. Bad decisions will happen no matter who's coaching from the sidelines. The real point is much simpler. It's all about roles and structure determining how often those mistakes impact you and how frequently the strengths come to light. You can either create lanes for Jude where his ball handling and timing really count or you can leave him stuck in spots where every touch seems like he's overdribbling. You can either provide Vinicius with support and rotations so he isn't always caught in 3v1 situations or you can just assume that if he were a better person, none of that would be an issue.
