Because Real Madrid is Real Madrid, whilst English media has pretty much trained its fans to push the narrative that English football is the best aggressively, the fact that none of their teams can get close to matching Real Madrid’s stature in their lifetimes pisses people off. A lot of people here think Madrid is a Spanish state funded club who throws money at anything that moves. It’s also not that deep, professional sports is based on rivalry so it makes sense to go against the best when you don’t support them.
I have a very close friend, that is a die-hard Liverpool fan, to the point of being biased. And the number of videos and memes he sent me regarding Trent's defensive lapses was unreal, to the point I could feel the pure anger and animosity that 'Pool fans like him have against the move to Madrid. They clearly want him to fail and I found it so nauseating to the point where I would just ignore the messages and then say "good luck with managing and accepting Frimpong's defensive frailties and lapses"...
Lol it isn't just English clubs. People say we have the biggest fanbase in the world but the real biggest fanbase is Anti-Madridista.
Whole presentation was extremely fake and artificial but he was excellently prepared and completely smashed it. Good job by him.
I missed the last game but that ball to Vini was class. Jude is an elite midfielder, there's no question about it. Its just the club being dumb not letting him get the operation earlier.
🚨 Jude Bellingham will play his 100th game for Real Madrid tonight. 🤍 pic.twitter.com/8GkfOd0eV2— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) July 9, 2025 🗣 Jude Bellingham on playing 100 games for Real Madrid: "I’m really proud to have made - hopefully by the time people see this - 100 games for Real Madrid. It’s massive dream and big achievement.I don't take for granted how much it means to play for this club and the level… pic.twitter.com/l8TRcGjHnS— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) July 8, 2025
I love the guy but that face of desperation when things aren't going our way is not very inspiring to me. Always looking close to tears.
He's like Xavi Simons light, a player that actually is always in tears, even when he scores. Jude also always looks close to being completely exhausted, lol. Love him to bits, amazing player!
What sent a real weird message to me was him saying "I can't wait to have surgery!" because the last and only time I personally said that I had a life threatening condition. Guy has to be suffering to play and it kind of sucks.
I played on a bad ankle for nearly 4 years that eventually started hurt 24-7 for the last 1.5 years. Literally a week after the season ended I had my surgery scheduled. I was looking forward to it. My quality of life was bad, so I can see where Bellingham is relived to a certain degree.
Reminder that we had him play this mickey mouse tournament only to get rinsed by PSG and delay his recovery by more than a month. Great choice. Greedy losers.
I tore my rotator cuff quite badly whilst weight training, and I was in and out of my country due to business, so I couldn't get surgery done on it. I can say from my personal experience, I see where Bellingham is coming from and don't see anything peculiar about what he said.
One of our most important players and I’m nervous about him being out for so long. But of course wish him a speedy recovery and hope others can step up in his absence.
