Agreed. However I once did wonder what the overall impact on players’ long term performances are in correlation to their home life and how stable it is, and by that I also mean a player’s willingness to look for stability in their personal life.

In the last decade I can’t recall our players going through such drama in the media, apart from Militao and the Mendy incident, which coincided with some awful form of play if my memory serves me right.

On the flip side Asencio has been going through a very serious case but his form has been immaculate.

 

I doubt Jude would 1- take such a person to his workplace and 2- sit her next to his mom.

What do you guys think of him this season? I would not rate him as bad as Vini/Mbappe but IMO he has not done much this year as well.

 

I admire his work ethic on the field. I love seeing him trying to win balls back, start offenses and trying to get at the end of opportunities.
He's trying to be an influence at every play all game, both on the defensive and offensive side of the game. Its affecting his stamina.

He needs to pick the right time to make a lunging tackle, a run to the box, etc.

To be honest, if there is a player to build around I think its him.

 

Next coach needs to make it his mission to have a system in which Jude and Valverde are the absolute best midfielders in the world. They embody Real Madrid the most in terms of talent, attitude and sacrifice.

we can't have these guys running themselves to the ground again in a chaotic set up.
