Not sure if you were catching up on the news post Euros in UK but there were damn near hit articles coming out against him. There absolutely was disrespect. He played as well as any other player on the team but was the focal point of failure.
The company that promotes him did it in a way that presented him as the savior of english football. You plant that seed and set yourself up to fail. If you lead in victory, you also have to lead in defeat.

Ahhh the power of advertising eh, so strong that the whole country could just ignore the non performance of the "best" player of the season, in the "best" team in the world, in the "best" league in the world ....... it is what it is
The guy that was screaming "who else" with his arms out. I am not playing along with the coddling of a guy who is clearly aiming for everyody's attention. You don't get to act like the captain when you score then leave the ship when you don't. Bellingham was being touted as the best player in the world and he wasn't even the best player on the team at the Euro. It's not just "the bad boys from the english media" that criticize him. Sportschau (DE) : Bellingham, as provocative as it gets "Bellingham, possibly one of the best players in the world, continues to show questionable attitude" He's a phenomenal player and a strong individual but there's a strong argument that he bit off more than he could chew at the Euro. Everybody experiences defeats, this wasn't his first, and it won't be his last.
I agree; I don't mind him having an ego [all great players have one]. But he cannot let it get the best of him or give him free-reign to belittle or bully him teammates who aren't on his level like he did at Dortmund.
Saka, Mainoo, Palmer, Guehi either surpassed or lived up to their promise. Bellingham was largely absent with spikes of brilliance. That's simply not good enough for a leader. That includes players like Kane who also had a very insignificant Euro.
To be fair, Jude hasn’t complained about the negative press at the Euros. For all we know, he accepts the responsibility
Im not sure about any of those being significantly better than Bellingham. You are maybe arguing from the fact that for their “role” in the team they did well, but I wouldn’t agree that Bellingham is in this role you are describing for him, based on advertising campaigns. A lot was written after the Euros, but if you ignore all of the noise, he was one of the most important players in a team that got to the final. I just hope he keeps up the level show against Atalanta. That game made me worry less about losing Kroos, as he showed that we can dominate games in a different way.
It’s a non story now he had a poor euro English players had a poor euro despite making the final he is back and ready to go. As long as the shoulder is better, he will be world class we move on

Poor Don, how will he manage those authoritative mannerisms. When he is losing it's at least, 20x worse. Re: Brum/BVB. He'll be 'Scouser' bound by '26', as Van Dijk, Hendo, Mcman & of course Trent already know. https://www.instagram.com/itsjudesworld/reel/C-3W4MNuS8K/
Jude is injured: https://talksport.com/football/2019797/real-madrid-jude-bellingham-injury-england-lee-carsley/
For years we've been hearing about Ronaldo living like a monk and how the team is "emulating his routine" but barely a week into the season these guys booked flights and accommodations for a weekend getaway, flights, hotels, the works. I get that these guys are young, but maybe resting for 2 to 3 days would've been better than going out there to have a good time.
Short flight to Marbella no? im guessing a beach vacation isn’t very taxing on the body but I guess that depends on the level of partying lol
How are we in trouble? I don't get why everything needs a panic reaction. What is the point of glowing about Arda Guler when we are afraid he has to step up and play a bigger role for a month?? We will be just fine.
I agree. Honestly, as amazing as Jude is, I think that he plays one of our deepest positions. Guler, Brahim, and Modric can all step in (though I wouldn't want to rely on Modric for 90 min at this point). To me, the big risks are Fede, Tchou, and the defenders - particularly the CBs. I will feel better once Camavinga and Alaba are back.
