How do Canadians compare your top keepers like Onstad, Hirschfield, Forrest, etc? How does Onstad compare with them?
Well Forrest has retired for health reasons, but when he was playing he was #1 ahead of Onstad. I don't think Pat is quite at the level where Craig was, considering he held his own in the EPL. Its difficult at this stage to compare Hirshfeld with Onstad. The latter has much more experience (but is 11 or 12 years older after all), but the former is seen as having the potential to play at a higher level than Onstad ever has (hence Hirshfeld's signing with Tottenham this past year).

You might be thinking of Mike Franks, who was ahead of Hirshfeld on the Olympic team depth chart & on the national team as well. He broke his arm and was out for over a year but has signed with the Vancouver Whitecaps for the upcoming A-league season. There is also Kenny Stamatopoulos, who plays for Greek 2nd Division side Kalamata, though I don't know if he was ever rated above Onstad. He has been called with Pat to the Estonia match though.
