park pyo takahara all 3 have been comfirmed. What happened to Hiddink wanting lee chun so? Qu bo = probably i would have to say that 4 asians will go to europe (the fourth being qu bo) anyone want to bet for more? bad for japan, seems they will only have 1 player going to europe
Dude, what sort of drugs are you on? -Takahara is already in Europe. -Chievo made a firm offer for Yanagisawa on Monday and probably he will agree to a move in June. The only thing remaining is to negotiate the timing of the transfer with Antlers. -Feyenoord have submitted a formal bid for Kikuchi, and the only question is whether he will accept the move now, or wait for a year, take more money from one of the J.League clubs that is bidding for him and make a move to Europe after getting one year of experience in J.League. -Chievo also may make an offer for Miyamoto, since Miyamoto is in Italy training with them, right now. -Fujimoto is considering offers from Heerenveen and Motouscron. Chances are about 50-50 that he will go to Belgium. -Ono's younger brother has already accepted a one-year training contract in Germany and left for Europe last week -Athletico Madrid are in discussions with Jun Tamano about another one-year loan deal. He spent six months there in 2002. Just one Japanese in Europe? I think maybe you need to learn how to count.
Re: Re: only 3 asians to go to europe?? I think he means the number of Japanese transfers this transfer season... Takahara is the only one so far, but more will definitely follow as the year progresses.
Re: Re: Re: only 3 asians to go to europe?? OK, if thats what hes counting, I count two already and another two possible. If Kikuchi or Fujimoto sign, it will be by the end of January. Not exactly what I would call "bad for Japan" (see the original post on this thread)
http://www.geocities.co.jp/Athlete-Samos/5582/lf/index.html If you want to know about the Japanese player who belongs to the team of countries other than Japan, this Japanese site is helpful.
by how are you counting the numbers? because if you are counting numbers after the World Cup 2002, it's certainly more than 3. Song Park Lee Cha Sun Li Nakamura Takahara the biggest obstable for Korean and Japanese players are the negotiating part. The K&J players aren't gonna go to Europe at a low price tag. Or at least the clubs won't let them go that easily. Ahn is likely to go to Europe (currently working with Athletico Madrid), and so is Namil Kim. Players like Chunsoo Lee will go to Europe sometime later.
Add Shao Jiayi to the list. The Bundesliga club 1860 München signs him on a loan deal. It's not official yet, but it'll be soon.
"I think he means the number of Japanese transfers this transfer season... " thats what i meant, but some people here cant read. ok so we know about japanese players, what about chinese? is Qu Bo the only one that could go??
Re: Re: only 3 asians to go to europe?? How substantiated by the Korean press are the Ahn rumors? Because I've only seen one really brief mention of a move to Atleti in Marca about two months ago, and that was about it - there really isn't much being said about it on the Spanish end. Should that move actually happen, I would be surprised, because Atleti demonstrated earlier in the season that they don't need another forward - in fact, they cut loose long-time starter Kiko in order to make room for new golden boy Fernando Torres. Plus, knowing the way that Atleti operate, it's entirely possible that they're making the appearance of lining up a bid just to attract attention to themselves.
Atletico and Ahn is an interesting subject. AM's chairman came to Ahn's defense right after the Gaucci incident. Earlier in the summer, Atletico was interested in acquiring Ahn, but the Perugia/Busan mess prohibited them from doing so.
Re: Re: Re: only 3 asians to go to europe?? AM and Valladolid are two likely teams which Ahn might go. Some other French clubs like PSG contacted Ahn but Ahn wants to go to La Liga. Money would be the biggest obstacle of course.
Re: Re: Re: Re: only 3 asians to go to europe?? I could have a much easier time seeing Ahn at Real Valladolid than with Los Colchoneros, for the reasons stated above. Actually, right now they're desperate for an international caliber forward now that Cuauhtemoc Blanco went back to Maxico.
what happened to kim nam il? i hear he's in europe on tour or something. a dutch club might trial him while there. definitely not psv or ajax.
The Korean press has reported that Kim Nam Il will train with PSV in Turkey during January. Kim Nam Il also has close ties to Hiddink, but I agree that Hiddink, if he goes after a third Korean, will likely go for an U20 to develop. Kim Nam Il is so popular in Korea, particularly among young girls, in much the same way as Ahn Jung Hwan and will provide ample marketing opportunities for any team he plays for. Feyenoord or Heerenveen, maybe?
I've heard several news regarding Japanese players linked with overseas clubs today. Japan national team DF and Gamba Osaka Miyamoto turned down the offer to join the training with Chievo in Italy in January due to the conflicting schedule. Reportedly, Japan national team and Shimizu S-Pulse defensive MF Toda has been invited to train with Sunderland for 2 weeks. He played in all the games in the last World Cup. He is leaving Japan for England on Jan 9. Sunderland appears to be serious with this trial as they've put an article on their official web site. ( http://www.safc.com/news.asp?article=126758&lid=204 ) Toda's teammate and Japan national team MF/DF Ichikawa has been training with Strasbourg in France now. Just as some other Japanese players do sometimes, he is there just to taste the European football, but the Frence media is speculating the club may acquire him after the end of the current season is he catches club's attentions. Former Japan national team MF and Jubilo Iwata MF Fujita is in Italy to train with a few Serie A clubs including Perugia. The MVP of the J.League '01 is also tasting the European football during the vacation, but I'd think no one would get him as he's already 31.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: only 3 asians to go to europe?? E-player, Ahn's management company, is having a tough time negotiating with AM according to the press today. Because of the heavy tax burden (110%) in Spain, AM will have to pay USD $8,820,000 in a span of 2 years. In order to help AM out, E-player is trying to negotiate the TV rights as well as the Sponsorship, but both sides are having a hard time negotiating. AM will have a discussion on Jan.11 to decide whether to accept the deal or not.
It seems like Shimuzu is getting offers from Brescia(Serie A), Bastia (France), Olympiacos(Greece) for Ahn aside form the AM offer. So if the deal with AM falls through it's likely that he will be heading somewhere else. I bet Brescia is out of the question but that would be incredible to see him play along Baggio.
How feasible would it for Ahn to go back to Serie A? Is it completely out of the question? Koreans and/or Italians (or folks familiar with the leagues) check in.
can anyone who can read korean please translate this article. http://www.hankooki.com/ds_soccer/200301/s2003011213344322510.htm thanks.
According to the article, Kim Nam-Il is currently staying in England. He's on trial with West ham united, a team who had offered a loan deal to Anderlecht's Korean striker, Seol Ki Hyeon, a few months ago and got rejected. If his trial is not successful, he will contact with another "unknown" English club or else, he will be heading to the Netherlands.
