I am in the same boat as you (assuming you are talking about the Clasico). I am in Spain and I am freaking out because I dont know if I will be able to watch it.

In my experience with watching mexican games online. Libertadores are easy to watch because they are on Fox Sports, which has an online feed (sopcast). However national team and mfl matches are next to impossible to get a online feed of. I have not found a feed for any US spanish soccer channels (ie. Telemundo, Univision, Galavision). There is also no online feed for any mexican televisa channels. There is a feed for a mexican galavision channel but its the one that never has games on. And there is also a feed for TV Azteca (mex) but its through realplayer and it runs like shit. So If the game is on azteca you can "watch" the game through realplayer.

If anyone finds a feed for the Clasico that works, please post it, i am dying here.

don't you think I tried that already?

I went to the Italian market, where there happens the be the highest concentration of Mexicans, and not one taqueria was airing the match. I went to 5 taquerias last night and NONE of them were showing the game. The most recognizable taqueria, being the Veracruzana, did not want to air the game.

This morning, i got on the yellow pages and must have called 10 mexican taquerias and none of them said they were showing the games. Atleast half of them said they did not have a TV.

In all seriousness, the Mexican establishments here in Philly are piss poor to say the least. I am not saying this just because I cant wathc a game, this goes way back. THey do not know how to treat customers. The make you wait to sit down and at times bring out your food when its cold. On two seperate occacions in 2 different restuarants, I ordered my appetizers and they brought my appetizers along with my meal.

I gave up after I called one taqueria. The hostess was rude as hell... i hate to say this, but it seems nothing but nopaleras from the ranchos work in these places because they seriously lack manners. I asked if the place was going to show the match because a group of friends wanted to get to together to dine and watch a football match. She then asked me, "football match? what football match?" So then I explained to her that it was a match between Amrica and Chivas and that a group of people wanted to dine out and watch it. she then said to me, "muchacho, no me molestes, yo estoy bien ocupada ahorita!" then I tell her, "Senorita, no tiene por que hablarme asi. Yo estoy tratando de darles a ustedes negocio. Me van acompanar 5 amigos y nomas quieriamos ver el partido.--ahora, mi pregunta fue, si tienen un televisor que transmitara el partido entre America y Chivas?"...she calls me "muchacho" again... and thats when I said to her..."muchacho? hay formas de hablar a los clientes... si gustes, me puedes llamar por mi nombre o licenciado....pero no muchacho.. no me tiene que faltar el respeto... ...a simple NO would have been fine.... sh could have said from the beginning of the conversation that NO, we do not have a television in the restuarant...

you will have to download sopcast or whatever software the game is on.

I have yet to find one that would show a game in SA when I was looking, hopefully they have a place in Austin to watch the Iran game, cuz I dont think I will be able to make the trip to san luis after all.

I tried to purchase subscribe to esmas player. Since my IP is from the US, it says I cant.

How do I change my IP to make it seem I am in Mexico? I am desperate. I know the game will be on Canal de Estrellas.

This website says that it will have the feed:

    http://www.audiogol.com/Mexico.htm

If it asks you to register just fill in the required stuff and get it over with. Scroll down this page and they have feeds for the game (4 to be exact). The first 3 dont work, which is not that rare with online streaming since some of the channels start working when the game starts. The problem is that the fourth one does work (the Window Mediaplayer one) but i think they have the wrong Canal 5.

Does anyone know anything about this site? Is it reliable? I think people will also be able to transmit the game through their webcams or something, im not really sure how this works but it is all i could find.

When I lived in Philly, there used to be a restuarant in Center City called Tequilas. It was far more upscale than your run of the mill taqueria, and the owner was a chilango. He was a big footie fan. If that place still exists, you may want to try your luck there.

no dice... i already called it (in thinking it is the same)..

i even called Fuego.... some gringo picked up and I asked if they were going to show the game.... he said they were... i then asked if you had to make reservations for the America-Chivas game... and he said..."we are showing the Boca game"...

I then asked, "is this a Mexican restuarant?" the guy said yeah... and I just thanked him and hung up.... un fkingbelievable!!!!!

no bullshyt... most of the establishments I have called have been really rude. I understand they are busy, but just some common courtesy is not too much to ask.

MAN how I miss Houston. I could go to any type of establishment that had a TV and watch a game...no questions asked....

The game willl be shown on Canal 5 so if you can get that feed through the online site you will be lucky.

BTW interesting what you say about those philly restaurants. Are you sure they are even Mexican? I mean for all you know they could own or work for a mexican restaurant but not be full mexicanos. Its just unlikely for them to be as rude as yoy say they are, i mean i know some of us mexicanos can be straight up dicks and rude at times but for the most part the majority of us are very good when it comes to dealing with the general public and are not rude at all unless we have a reason to be.

Hard to believe none of those restaurants will be showing it, they should at least have a tv with telefutura or Univision feeds.

Every Mexican food restaurant around here goes for Chivas. Whenever americanistas show up it's like being a black dude in a "whites only" bar.

oh and LMvCP, changing IP's depends on what browser you're using.

With IE it's: Tools --> Internet Options --> Connections tab --> if you're on dialup, Settings, if on LAN, LAN settings --> type in the proxy and the port (the port is the number after the semicolon)

With Firefox it's: Tools --> Options --> Connection Settings --> Manual proxy configuration --> type in the proxy and port.

Chiquitibum can check for any mistakes.

I could see L.A. being like that, but i usually watch my games at a restaurant/bar/billards here in arlington called Sapitos. Its usually 50/50 and americanistas and chivistas are pretty much respectful to one another and it gets pretty packed for the classico and MNT games. Even better is that they project the games on a screen.
