I hadn't thought about this much until I was listening to the political news on WTOP radio this evening (http://www.wtopnews.com) and they had the Washington bureau chief from the BBC on for an interview. I can't recall the man's name. He pointed out the fact that Bush probably won't be as adversely affected by O'Neill's accusations as Tony Blair is likely to be, if they do indeed turn out to be true. He also said that if Blair and Bush did know that Saddam didn't pose a threat to the UK and the US, that Blair will look bad for being out of touch, and that if Blair did know and lied about the thread it could be worse. I couldn't find a story on the BBC site, but here's an interesting article from Scotsman.com Ex-Bush Ally Increases Wmd Pressure on Blair
