To settle a one-dollar bet made in the parking lot at Mile High last night: MLSnet and coloradorapids.com do not list start times on the box scores. However, I have a copy of the 2000 Rapids Media Guide here at work and the Rapids were scheduled to host both of their non-holiday, mid-week games at 7pm, not 7:30pm. 12 July versus Dallas Burn 30 August versus Miami Fusion I remember that last game because it was my birthday.
I always correct times/dates on www.river-ratz.com. In 2000, the July 12th match was originally scheduled for 7pm but was moved to June 28th and was played at 7pm. The Aug 30, 2000 match was played as scheduled at 7pm (according to my records).
Ahhh, but if you look up the old schedule/results page (in the Team Info / History section), you can see all the start times from 1998 through 2002. And the media guides are one of the worst things to consult regarding any information for future events, as they're put together weeks before the season. Schedules change a lot right up to the start of the season To back up your bet further, in looking at 2000 on the following page: http://www.coloradorapids.com/history/2000schedule.asp - There was no July 12th game. Looks like it was played June 28th -- a Wednesday -- at 7:00pm. - August 30th did go as scheduled, 7:00pm. looking at other schedule pages confirms what I'm guessing was your bet, that the Rapids have never played an MLS match at home at 7:30 on a midweek, non-holiday. All of them seem to be 7:00. http://www.coloradorapids.com/history/2001schedule.asp http://www.coloradorapids.com/history/2000schedule.asp http://www.coloradorapids.com/history/1999schedule.asp http://www.coloradorapids.com/history/1998schedule.asp Only exception -- the 9:00pm kickoff against the Seattle Sounders that was part of the doubleheader when USA played Derby County.
