every time i see a premier league or champion's league game, i think what a shame it is that both landon and clint aren't in the mix. i've no doubt they can compete and more importantly raise their game there. this is not to start another mls v. playing abroad thread...but there's huge talent spinning their wheels here.

I watch a lot of EPL and think that to. Clint would be a perfect EPL forward (highly flammable) while Landon would be a very good Attacking Midfielder(very fast, fast passing, scoring touch, and plays defense once in awhile). The game would actually come easier for the two because there would be less pressure on them, phsycologically and physically

You think there would be less pressure playing in England? Really?

Other than BigSoccer criticism, what pressure does a U.S. player have on them. I think it would do them good, but I don't think it is because of less pressure.

the pressure of having to carry a team and being the teams star. The won't jave defenses keying on them. I think it would relieve physical pressure on them and give them more room to manuever. Only if if because they'll just have one person on them rather than 3

    I'll agree to that.

They would have a ton of pressure on them. They have both been talked up and hyped as two of the best American products. If Clint and Landon took too long to score, we'd be hearing comparisons to Joe-Max, not matter how unfair that would be to them and Joe-Max. However, I feel that both would do exceptionally well in the Premier League. Personally i'd like to see oneof them on ManU, but Sir Alex would never buy an American unless that American consistently scorched his side.

why do you say that? Sir Alex went to VERY great lengths for Kirovoski, to try to get him a work permit again and again. He also tried to get Keller, though presumably to be back-up to the French guy.

If I was Sir Alex, I'd sell Nicky Butt and Buy Clint Mathis and return to the 4-4-2.

    RVN--Clint

    Giggs--Keane--Veron--Beckham

    O'Shea--Rio--Blanc--Neville

They might be two talked up Americans here, but over there the people don't have a clue about who they really are and what they can do. There are some in the know, but for the most part, the people there would claim that their team made this guy, even though we know better.

I think they should be there.

    On Lanny & Clint...

aka a spot where many teenage girls long to be :D

I want to see Landon go to BL and up his level of competition...I want to see Clintinho go to the EPL and average a goal and a yellow card a game.
    It could happen

Every time I see Beckham and Henry, I think what a shame it is that they're not playing in MLS - a league with more emphasis on individual skill and flair that that direct-to-goal joke-of-a-route-1-glorified-pub-league EPL. They could both really raise their games here in the states and would be smart to leave England for the best league in the world.

    Re: On Lanny & Clint...

So that would be about 25 goals, 25 cards, and around 13 games missed due to suspension?? Works for me! :p

Interesting comparison, I am not sure it is fair to
compare this way, but one thing for sure, Solskjaer worked hard to earn his place. The world can no longer call him super sub.
