Maybe he could do what Diego Simeone did for Racing. Taking them from the bottom to the top.

i was shocked when i heard but not suprised to see Keano suddenly out of nowhere become Sunderland manager.

i actually think if he has experianced people around him like Kiddo i can see him doing a decent job.

would he want to loan any of our players?

how long before the "Keano for England" chants start?

Best of luck to Keano, will certainly be interesting to see how it all plays out...

This is hilarious. No offense guys.

Roy Keane, working under Niall Quinn. You really couldn't make this shit up! Unbelievable.

My bet is Roy Keane physically assaults a player before the year is out if this is true.

Good lord that man would be terrifying.

Hope Sunderland will meet you in the League cup or FA cup with Keane sending in a few thugs to ruffled the likes of ronaldo and rooney.

So much for the idea of Quinn's wanting to appoint an experienced manager. Sundies are doomed.

    Pepsi league here they come

Hope to god we don't draw sunderland in the F.A cup

I mean the guy could teach Craig Bellamy, Jermaine Penant and Robbie Savage how to behave themselves

Personally i'd thank him if he gives the bloke who injured our Diaby a good beating

Won't be surprised if he makes Dan Smith (the guy who injured Diaby) captain

Can't wait for sunderland vs Wolves.

Do you reckon he;s going to force the players to assault McCartney or convinve the wolves player (while breaking their bones) that the food McCartney serves is crap

Sorry guys. Don't mean to be offensive, but I can't help it. This is hilarious.

You should know I respect Keane as player very higly but this...

Hopefully Quinn doesn't ask Keano to write an article in their program. ;) :D

    Keane won't move to United.

The Glazers will want to hire someone they can control.

Why would they want that? They don't know anything about football. All they know how to do is run a franchise.

No response yet from our friend regarding his baseless comment. I can only assume that he thought that every anti-Glazer comment would be met with a universal "harrumph".

Keane manager of Sunderland its either going to be a big success or disaster, no in between for Keano.

Cant say I will be supporting the Mackems because of Keane. Will be keeping an eye for their results.

Only current manager that played for United, and might be good enough to be a future United manager is Hughes.

    Become the Tea Pot!!
    Seriously.

Things that fascinate me with regard to this whole thing

    - Who will Keane pick as captain? Will he get someone in or does he have someone in mind?

    - How much patience he will have dealing with the press and PR :D if there ever was a Fergie mini-me it is Keano... and our man SAF is quite atrocious with the press...really and Cloughie was even worse! Keano is so much like the pair of them, I can't help but chuckle everytime I think how he will respond after a loss when some poor fool asks him a stupid question on a live feed!

    - Will Keano succeed? Can he stomach failure i.e will he pick himself up and go back for more punishment if his time there is a miserable failure?

    - Sunderland vs. Wolves.... [IMG]

    - Who else would/will have the bottle to hire Keano if this goes tits up and he wants another job in management?

I don't like Sunderland at all, but the pull of Keano and the bemusement of watching him manager such a shite bunch is going to end up drawing me in. It's got the making of a movie... the genre has yet to be determined!

keano has immediate influence sunderland win first game of season 2-0.Sunderlands chairman niall quinn said the players were in awe of roy. Here is my question will sunderland become a feeder club for united.I can see real value in loaning rossi and a few pals for a couple of months to sharpen them up.I can see fergie and keano having a good "mutual understanding" relationship.
