IMFC have brought the field closer to the end section, and the UM02.

Here's to hoping for some nice, big crowds to fill the place.

Olympic Stade will be busy at the end of March with the Impact season opener vs. Sounders on March 22 and then the Blue Jays play the Mets in a two game series on March 28 and 29 ending spring training.

I hope the roof holds up.
Hoepfully these games as well as the Impacts other games sell very well and perhaps Montreal will see the need to make a commitment to invest in a safe roof and some reno's.

The time frame for the safeness of the roof is shrinking. The CFL has pulled out on any Alouettes playoff games in November due to the roof and are unable to host any Grey Cups.

Since they cannot level the place the should at least make it safe for year round use while making upgrades. The potential for events in a city like Montreal could be endless and very profitable for $$$ going into the Montreal economy with visitors for the events.

I loved this concept to move to a hydraulic roof with the new structure lying on 4-6 reinforced foundation poles.

That does look like a great option. There is not that much of a whole to cover.
With the Impact using Olympic to start seasons in front of some bigger crowds and in some warmer confines how much does or is the Impact and Saputo looking to get involved.

CFL and Montreal Als would certainly benefit from home playoff and Grey Cups as well as the Blue Jays possibily using Olympic as a yearly destination to end spring training?

With the Impact now partnering with TVA for regional broadcast how much of an interest could Saputo and Quebecor have in at least managing the stadium.

Also intersting is that Rogers Sportsner and Quebecor TVA have a working relationship going with crossing over sporting events in english on sportsnet and french on TVA.

Potential for Montreal NHL outdoor Classic which would benefit Rogers since getting the National NHL contract
