For everyone that wants to follow the portuguese soccer team through the olympics, NBCOlympics.com has put up the complete broadcasting schedule for all the olympic sports. Portugal soccer games include:

    Game 1
    8/12
    Portugal Vs. Iraq
    MSNBC
    1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. ET (LIVE)

    Game 2
    8/15
    Portugal Vs. Morocco
    None

    Game 3
    8/18
    Portugal Vs. Costa Rica
    MSNBC
Coverage begins with Softball at 10 a.m. ET and Soccer will follow (LIVE) This game will also be re-broadcasted on Telemundo later at night, around 5:30 p.m. or so.

I dont know why they didn't put up the Morocco game but 2 outta 3 aint bad. I was also wondering if anyone knows whether RTPi will play the games.

I'm not sure if NBC will show the entire game or just portions of it. They usually flip between events that are occuring at the same time.

Canada's TSN is showing the quarter finals on the 21st.
    Sat Aug 21 Men's Tennis Singles (Bronze) 11:00am - 5:00pm
    Men's Tennis Doubles (Gold)
Women's Tennis Singles (Bronze and Gold)
    Women's Tennis Doubles (Bronze)
    Men's Volleyball
    Beach Volleyball (Round of 16)
    6:00pm - 10:00pm
    *Men's Soccer Quarterfinals
    *Men's Basketball
As you can see..Basketball is on at the same time and I would imagine that NBC will be showing that instead (i'm hoping that TSN will be broadcasting the football matches :p )

    Also on TSN: The Semi-finals
    Tue Aug 24 Men's and Women's Canoe/Kayak 1:30am - 7:00am
    Men's Athletics
    Men's Baseball Semifinals
    Men's Boxing Quarterfinals Noon - 4:00pm
    Men's Baseball Semifinals
    *Men's Soccer Semifinals

Again, it's taking place at the same time as Baseball and Boxing so i don't know how much NBC will be showing.

    Sat Aug 28 Men's Soccer (Gold) 11:00am - 7:00pm
    Women's Volleyball (Bronze and Gold)
    Men's Basketball (Bronze)

CBC is pretty much showing non-stop olympic coverage but they usually only show events that Canadians are competing in and we didn't qualify :(

not really, all of the men's games in the finals plus the latin countries with portugal. unless i missed something...? if i did please post the info here.

they will show the portugal costa rica game on wednesday, the 18, at 1:30pm eastern. i also got the scheduled games with Iraq and Moracco that viva posted. i assume they might try to televise the Iraq game so that they can add in some heftyamerican propoganda about how Iraq has made a full blown comeback and has greatly benefited after Saddam...bla blah blah.

one thing i always hate about american coverage, they always say "lovely, just beautiful" when in actuality the person is practically falling down and dying they are so bad. also, it wouldnt be that bad, except when another country does it thery are like "this is dissappointing." or "oh, look they just stumbled" or "did you see the ridgity of that throw? completely amateur" its sickening to listen to their compenators. i'd rather watch telemundo's people scream "gol, gol, gol, gol, gol!" as they do when they get a goal...its like five minutes of "GOOOOL!" :D

well, either way, i think we all were a bit disappointed with the team. i was hoping for the euro 2004 ppl... :( oh what the hell, we'll still wAtch and cheer just as loud. i know i will. lol, lastnight my neighbors called cuz i used my fog horn during the copa america game thing...quarter final it was, i think it was uraguay and argentina.... lol, i used a fog horn...i need mental help...
