This goalkeeper for Panama seems to attract the ball. She keeps getting hit in the stomach. There are some goalkeepers like that that are just good at positioning and draw shots into her/his body.

This group is about as simple as it gets now. A win or a tie by the US in the third match and the US wins the group. A loss and Costa Rica wins.

I don't get FS1 but looks like I didn't miss an important or terribly interesting match....

 

Well, the rest of the world might seem to be going to hell these days, but we still have the USWNT. 8-0. Semifinal berth clinched.

The U.S. players on the bench did a terrific job of banging the garbage cans with the right messages.

 

I'll add that I really liked our midfield combo in this game. The opponent wasn't a challenge, but there was good combining, and Sullivan in particular did well in one of her first games back in the mix.

 

So I finally did this correctly, got the Fox sports app activated with my cable provider XFINITY, and I have FS 1 in my package.

Despite this, when I tried to get Fox Soccer Plus to play to watch the game, I got a message that my plan did not provide it.

So I was limited to watching the game after it switched to cable on FS 1.

Ridiculous unintuitive technology.
