Odd Grenland beat Lillestrom 3-2 in a Norwegian top flight game today. Olivier Occean was sent off at the 70 minute mark. I don't know what the infraction was that caused the referee to red card him. As of May 14th, however, he was amongst the scoring leaders in the Norwegian league.
The Metrostars have to be regretting letting him go so easy right about now. Imagine all the strikers they would have with him in the ranks.
Currently, he is tied with nine other players for second place in the goal scoring category. http://www.football.com/cgi-bin/art....shtml&sfb=yes&articleTitle=norwegian+leaders As of 5/14, canadasoccer.com said he had 3 goals in 5 games while sharing the league's scoring lead. I don't know whether or not he had any multiple goal games.
Occean has been called up by Frank Yallop for Canada's first "A" team friendly with Yallop as coach, for the May 30th match against Wales in Wrexham. He is one of 5 strikers called for the match by Yallop (the others being Radzinski, De Rosario, Peschisolido and Hume) - my the times are changing.
