Dely Valdes borthers of Panama are pretty old
also isnt Cobi Jones 35 or 36
I have to correct myself, as I found an older one, that would hold the record for WCQ play:
MacDonald Taylor (US Virgin Islands)
St. Kitts and Nevis 7-0 US Virgin Islands
World cup 2006 qualifying
CONCACAF Stage 1, Group 10
And It was mentioned in BS already, although a bit discrepant (43?):
Strangely, FIFA only mentions the first time he broke the record, in 02.18.2004 (first leg of the fixture), and lists the record as 46-180: http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/040303/1/rs0.html
However, they show he played in the second leg: http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/t/mr/mr35995.html , which is what i based the above data on.
Maybe this is the absolute record. Or maybe not?
If you ask me, England should take Teddy Sheringham (will be 40) with them. He'd be much more usefull than any other fourth choice they could select (Crouch etc.).
Gordie Howe wasn't a gimmick, mate. He was still playing hockey at the time and quite well. He scored 42 points his last season. in his third to last season, he scored 85 points, including 35 goals.
His sons were.....
he had a gastric bypass.
and has his own t.v. show
